I don't see Palace selling unless each one goes for £50m+. If Southampton are able to value Lavia at that much then Palace can with their players, cos they don't need to sell but will need the money to buy new players.
I mean Palace removed Olise's 35m release clause so I imagine they'd be expecting significantly more than that if they were to sell. Especially given the supposed interest in him, they'll only speak to the highest bidder. So if City, Arsenal and Chelsea are serious about getting him they'll have to make sure they're the top bidders.
I may have asked this before, but does a release clause always mean no sell-on? Obviously asking in case Mehmeti ever gets a big money move into the PL.
No but a release clause moves the power in the transfer negotiations to the buying club.
hypothetically lets say that there is an effective release clause entitling club B to buy player X from club A for £1.5m.
There would be nothing to stop club A suggesting to B " we think this kid has real potential, tell you what instead of paying us £1.5m now, pay us £1m but we'll have a 15% sell on". However there is no obligation on B to accept those terms - they are perfectly entitled to say "no we'll stick with the £1.5m, thanks"
Surely there is also nothing to stop the selling club including a % sell-on in the release clause at the outset. And given the nature of the development squad, you'd have thought we'd be alert to that.
Talking to a Wigan fan he is not expecting much above survival but at least they seem to have a decent local owner even if he is also linked to the egg chasers. Expecting more points to be docked though they may be suspended for a while.
Michael Olise was born in Hammersmith and qualifies as homegrown for any measure of squad qualification. If he was cheaper than Eze just because of hype or a so called English premium that would be a bit odd, presumably it's more to do with progression with Eze already being a full International.
We also have no real idea how much Palace would take for either of them.

How awful. 49 is no age at all.
Bloody hell. That's a shocker.
Wow - The game loses Tricky Trev and the Bartman on the same day. Really tough one for Forest and Wednesday fans.
RIP both.

40ish for Olise and 60ish for Doucoure are being thrown about. Chelsea have a buy-back option on Guehi for relative peanuts.

Surprising that Olise rather than Eze seems to be attracting the “big clubs”
Not surprising that Olise is, somewhat surprising Eze isn't
If Olise gets sold for the reported 60M then Reading will be in for a cash injection of about 10M.
Just got back from Chesham vs Luton. Not sure who it was but Luton’s number 3 (likely a trialist) looked excellent. A lot of potential there
Might just be that the asking price is ridiculous in comparison.
This article suggests that they don’t have a sell on - https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/michael-olise-transfer-reading-fc-25362441.amp

Let's hope that's true. Reading mates suggest otherwise.

stadium news locally which may be of interest https://www.maidenheadunitedfc.org/news/club-statement-braywick-park-stadium/
That is a severe blow to Maidenheads ambitions and from the local council. A depressingly common theme.
That Braywick site is already home to a huge set of sports teams. I did wonder how they'd allow throwing a huge stadium in there with parking.
But maybe it'd have just taken a couple of rugby pitches out and you'd have had a setup similar to what Barnet have?
Barnet's didn't actually get approved before it was built.
English Player Premium. Eze is now locked in for England but technically speaking, Olise is French
No technically about it - Olise plays for France U21

Olise widely reported to have a £35m release clause, no idea about Eze
Yeah, that would also do it.
Also been reported they got rid of that though
5451 supporters watched Bury win 5-1 on their return to Gigg Lane. A fantastic day for football. #savederbycounty …….
The latest assessment from one QPR fan on their forum:
"We’ve had terrible teams
We’ve had gutless teams
Not sure we’ve ever had a truly terrible and gutless team in my relatively short (27 years) time supporting."
Classic football fans with their tendency to insist that the current is the best or worst ever.
The fool who said that only has to look about...half a season back to see they had exactly a woeful team and a lack of effort then.
