Is it? Might be badly phrased, but I think you know what I meant, eric.
One of the most prominent early victims of gambling addiction in football, which almost bankrupted him when it was far less talked about, make it slightly less odd for you?
Dramatic opening 20 minutes. Hibs keeper Marshall injured in warm-up, replacement Wollacott goes off injured after 18 minutes, luckily have a third on the bench to come on. Hibs already two up, 3-2 in the tie, one due to a howler by the Escaldes keeper.
I was strolling up Brill Hill in the Chilterns and randomly came across a fossil detailing a contract. I took this to Bucks University and they carbon dated it to 3004 bc
I was keeping an eye on the score with Beitar Jerusalem and PAOK. PAOK go on to play Hadjuk Split and I need Hadjuk to win so they are in the third round while I am near Split at the end of August.
Love your sheer love of the game Pert Steve, but when you wrote that, do you truly believe anyone bar yourself or the Buckinghamshire Romantic, Andy Worbs would even dream of watching a second of that?!
Haverfordwest go out 2-3, to an unfortunate and controversial 100' penalty for handball, shot hit defender's arm tightly across chest. Quite impressed with the Bluebirds, the Cymru Premier might be a higher standard than I realised.
Larne lost 4-1 at home to Ballkarni, 7-1 on aggregate.
As I get older, I'm getting more interested in other teams and, in particular, their places and people. Recently I've been feeling a bit restless at Adams Park, might even miss a few home games this season and get around this country to see other teams. A country which, all four nations, is incredibly interesting and beautiful, and which I have not appreciated enough.
don't do anything precipitous @Steve_Peart. I've been a bit worried myself - never more so than when fans were streaming out in their pique at the Cheltenham game rather than waiting 5 minutes to applaud Dominic Gape, Curtis Thompson and Nick Freeman for their efforts over the years. Too much cheesecake too soon, I thought to myself.
Adams Park may not be a scene of ceaseless success. It may instead be the setting for frustration, impatience and hopelessly unreasonable expectation, but we're blessed to be doomed to it.
Sorry to hear that. I read a similar feeling in the posts of your partner in crime Andy W with his repeated posts about what Wycombe could do better, mixed with raptures about random ground hopping experiences.
Inevitable downside of what they would tell us is "progress" I guess. There are definitely a number of fans who were happiest when we were in non league.
@Steve_Peart If I were you I'd wait until next(?) season when having sold our selective souls to the mammon behemoths of Sky, etc we will end up playing home games at completely random and unrealistic times and days. You will then have lots of opportunities to explore this incredibly beautiful and interesting land and assorted grass (mostly) rectangles then.
These are actually some of the most interesting and potentially exciting (twinned with nervousness) times our club has ever been through. And, unlike the bleak days of Hayes, for me at least it still feels a lot like 'our' club under the present owners (even if I am less than happy with a number of their 'improvements' to the match day experience).
I can understand your feelings @Steve_Peart and have felt similar over the past few seasons but I have convinced myself to just focus on enjoying the football and try and avoid the rest of the match day jiggery pockery and all the ownership mutterings et al.
Sometimes when we are away I go and watch Beaconsfield and that is always refreshing.

Bit wordy
It's been a long day.

You can also watch Haverfordwest v B36 Torshavn, at Cardiff City Stadium, on Sky Ch 134, or on S4C.

Obita comes on for his European debut with Hibs 4-0 up
What evidence have you got that knocking shops were around before 3000BC

He looked very comfortable as left back in a back four. FT 6-1.

Hadjuk had 32000 at the corresponding game last season and do create quite an atmosphere. (6) Torcida Split / HNK Hajduk Split - Vitoria SC 3:1 (3.Pretkolo UEFA Europske konferencijske lige) - YouTube
1-0 on the night to Haverfordwest, 2-2 on agg, into extra time.
Also in the (brilliant, bonkers) Conference League Viktoria Plzeň scored in the 24th minute of injury time to progress.

I also saw the game and they have some really good players. The penalty was incredibly harsh.
It must be impossible for an armchair Manu fan to comprehend. But yes.

‘Too much cheesecake too soon,’ is a wonderful turn of phrase.

@our_frank any views on the right corner of the Valley Terrace losing its previously bohemian/pretentious feel tomorrow?

I'd willingly never go back, just to hear the terrace in full-voiced singing of Dusty Springfield*. More power to their elbows.
*Ideally, No Easy Way Down or any other gem from the almost flawless Dusty in Memphis, but I Only Want To Be With You will do just fine.
