Can't pretend I know the player, remember him against us, or know anything about him.
But it's really encouraging when you hear MB talk animatedly about how long ago he was identified, re-watching him and how we've spent a fair while chasing him.
Both will be at top clubs within 12 months. Wolves really stopping a bollocks letting MGW go - outside chance of making the England squad for the Euros.
Harshly downvoted I feel. I think we lack quality of depth rather than quantity of depth in those roles. I do think we need someone to share minutes with Scowen.
Which is very light in quality of depth to be honest. Last season we had Scowen Gape Wing Thompson and Freeman, as well as Young and the development lads. And we were still light in midfield, especially when Scowen was injured. Think we could do with at least one more there.
I think any more signings may depend on whether or not we sell Chris Forino. If we do, I would agree with @ReturnToSenda that we need 2 in midfield (scrappers), plus a speedy winger to provide the pace up front.
True but we were short in there last season too, Tetek seems to be all but a done deal , lots of talk of more joining and if this isn't Jack Young's time you might be forgiven for asking when that time will come.
At CB I think we're probably fine now if we intend playing a three , with a Forino replacement likely if he goes and we get a fee.
At one point number 4 was in midfield. Yet all this "roles" stuff is always on about 6 and 8. as being centre mids.
And if a 4 is now understood as a centre defender, I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone talk about the number 4 "role", any more than they would a 5.
What is your understanding of the difference between a 6 and 8 out of interest, if we ignore the "old" 6 being a centre back and take it as centre mid now.
And then compare the 8 to the 10 in the way we play one, rather than the "old" 10 that would be further forward than now.

If the signings are as good as the announcements we’ll be champions by Christmas.
Dale Taylor on loan from Forest. An excellent signing. Was terrific against us for Burton last season and played a major part in Maamria's turnaround.
Oh my word we’ve signed a striker. Can’t quite believe it. Chuffed

‘We have a strong relationship with Nottingham Forest.’
Matt Bloomfield confirmed as a Gasroomer.
Most certainly so
Morgan Gibbs-White next, please.
He and Brennan Johnson are fantastic footballers. Really rate the pair of them.

It wasn’t too long ago someone asked if we had ever announced a signing on a Sunday.
So what else do we need? A pacy winger? Assuming everyone is going to be fit soonish I can’t see us bring in many / any more senior players.
We're still light on 6s/8s

I won’t know many of our own players when we play Cardiff on Saturday. Exciting times though.
If we assume Scowen and Leahy starting, we've only got Wheels to fall back on until we're into the untested. But maybe it's Young's time to shine...
Regardless, we still need one more 'scrapper' imo
*dropped a bollock, whoops
Excellent interview with Kane Vincent-Young on WycombeTV. Plays both right and left wingback. Not at the same time.

Well yes, we had those names, but Gape and Thompson barely got on the pitch all season.
Leahy replaces Wing, Man City lad replaces Freeman, so it's not hugely different is it? But agreed we need one more in there none the less.
Presumably that is intended to be the lad Tetek

If the second year development lads (plus Young) aren't ready to do a job there it's probably time to say goodbye.
So is Breckin more of an 8 or a 10? I thought he was an 8.
Edit: I see Tom said "on to the untested". That makes sense.
Why do we fairly well understand the meaning of a number 4, 6, 8, 9 or 10 role but rarely refer to the number 5, or 7 role?

I should have realised someone would come back with that kind of question, put me on the spot @Malone.
For me ...
Number 4 is a centre back, in a back 3 or 4.
Number 6 is the holding defensive midfielder.
Number 8 is a more attacking central midfielder, Leahy perhaps, but also capable of tracking back and defending.
Number 10 would be more creative linking midfield and attack, with little defensive responsibility.
Number 9 the big centre forward in a front 2
What @Twizz has just said
