I mean, you'd have to start a new subscription, but you can start at any time and only pay for what you use - in effect - unlike buying a 'normal' season ticket at full price, say, 10 games into the season.
I mean you can stop it at any point - whereas you can't decide you don't want your ST and get a proportion of the cost back. Definitely makes more sense than paying up front, and I can't imagine many people do anymore.
Otherwise you'd simply sign up on day 1 of the season and quit at the last game, carving £80 off the season ticket cost (not paying over the summer but having paid 10/12th of the cost)
It was the immediate thing my cynical head thought of the second I heard of such a scheme.
After the first year though, could you say stay in for an August where you have 4 home games, then sack it off for September with say 1 (if some odd circumstances occurred), basically getting games cheaper?
I might just stick to the one off click button - done and dusted, doesn't roll and need stopping old school method in fairness!
I don't see why not. I won't have one myself next season, but that's because I don't anticipate being able to get to more than half of the games. The times they have a changed...
Someone as keen as you I'd have thought would have 2 or 3 different season tickets simultaneously. So you could take in different view points, great for analysis.
Lol. Working in football naturally means working Saturdays - although not being focused on 'live' action per se means I can at least tune in from Vipienne. I might just have to learn to love those cold midweekers v northern teams...

You can't dip out in the first year can you?

You pay exactly the same over 12 months than if you paid in one go, so not sure how you dip in and out.
Whatever point in the season you buy it, you’ll still have a 3 month period over the summer where you’re paying monthly but with no games.

Nah, I worded it in a really rubbish way 😅
