You should have had my seat for the playoff final last May. The two blokes behind me spent the entire match talking about Chelsea's prospects for this season. Turns out they were very wrong about how it would end up.
I was at a ground once and I think me and pal were overdoing the chat about another sport we participate in, as 2 old blokes, one of whom was dressed like the Dude in the Big Lebowski gave us what for.
Strange corporate area, as another guy was utterly wiped out almost on the floor he was so boozed up a few rows back.
Ahead of Bolton's pizza cup final, my good Bolton friend has sent me this from the last time Bolton played in a (probably van related) final. Wonderful
Plymouth and Bolton play the Papa Johns final this sunday. It is likely that the crowd will be well over 70,000 - almost certainly more than attended our game v Sunderland last season. Amazing the draw Wembley still holds
Yeah but most of the defenders are in their late 20s through to early 40s. Jayce Olivero (24) was the youngest in the starting 11's back 3 with Ethan Jolley (25) and Niels Hartman (22) both coming on as subs, being the only ones who could realistically have a professional career abroad if a club took an interest on their international performances. Liam Walker got his move to Portsmouth at the age of 24, after all, and signed for Notts County at 29.
I’m going along with a Plymouth supporting mate of mine. Yes apparently the crowd is going to be in excess of 70,000. May be assisted by the fact that our tickets albeit old codgers prices and in the gods are just £14.50

Some history on the Dolphin Stadium. The hut/billboard can be clearly seen in the photo half way down the page.

I remember well the half time scores boards being propped up against the wall behind the goal at Loakes Park.
Should be encouraged imho. As long as you aren't annoucing it to the whole terrace!

@Malone this is superb...we need more details you tease!
Yes that is
Just make sure you don't get too personal in lulls between chants https://youtu.be/5Q9OyxPT9bA
I feel a bit violated after clicking that link!

Mehmeti just came on for Albania.
I hope the referee is carrying wet wipes!
The Netherlands just had 51 shots to Gibraltar's 0. Now I see why Tjay opted out...
Oh, Gibraltar played almost half the game with 10 men. Still...
Opting out had nothing to do with Gibraltar and everything to do with him trying to cement a place in our team.
It was tongue-in-cheek, but it must be so demoralising being on the receiving end of that.
If you're a defender, probably quite good as it's a good showcase of your defensive capabilities to resist that much of an onslaught.
But, think of all the world class players they'll be able to tell their grandchildren they played against!
Only conceeding one against the Dutch in 40 mins with 10 men is definitely an achievement at their level.

I can't criticise - I'd probably abandon my principles if we got to the final of that competition 😬

Dayle Coleing dines off the fact he's one of the few goalkeepers in the world that Erling Haaland has failed to score against in 90 minutes.
Chesterfield with a new shirt Steve Baker would approve of https://twitter.com/ChesterfieldFC/status/1640687846888558592?t=qwdnsDz7KqvQnCuEBAA8xA&s=19
@ReturnToSenda Dont let people like Baker and Braverman co-opt the British flag and pretend it represents their loathsome values,.
Unfortunately, that's exactly what it's come to represent.
Only if you allow it to
Meeting MK in the final would certainly get a few off their horses wouldn't it!
I've always wanted us to get MK in a final just to put that to the test

Plenty stayed away from last season's play-off semi final and would do likewise if we were to play them in the final.
Actually for me, the bigger the game the less appealing it would be to attend.
