Short of a freak upturn and spell in the Prem how could they ever expect a return on that spend?. More and more crazy figures coming out of L1 clubs and lower every week it seems
It only matters if they pull the plug and are not willing to sustain 4M losses when the club has gone backwards from 5 years ago. I am sure they will continue to plug the shortfall for at least the next season or two or the new ground get's axed. Sounding all too familiar this.
It's hardly a ringing endorsement on the clubs management is it? And you can be sure a chunk of it will be wages where the contracts have further years to run so it won't be easy to cut the cloth (or deadwood) if desired. Also means even if the current owners (surely good and decent people 🤣) were to write off debt as part of any sale a new owner would reasonably have to expect similar losses in the near future. If they were actually down the line building a new stadium or had a successful team you could at least see where it was all going.
All these clubs racking up debt and funded by owners as if they were PSG also has to have an effect on wage inflation and must make it less attractive to all but the very richest of prospective new owners.
That’s the key thing isn’t it? Owners willing to spend ridiculous amounts of money (via loans or whatever) keep player wages high and mean that other clubs can’t be run sustainably - a spending arms race where you’re either paying more than you earn or you’re uncompetitive. The kind of thing the FFP rules are intended to stop, but then they (I don’t know exactly how it works) do something like classifying owner’s investment as income invalidating the whole process.
There will be two B & B sides in the FA Vase Final. Holders Newport Pagnell Town won on penalties at Congleton, 2-2 after 90 minutes. Ascot also won on pens at Corsham, which was also 2-2 at full time.
In the Trophy, Alty beat Halifax on penalties, Gateshead beat Barnet also on penalties.
The way things are going GA and Dobbo will be back at Wycombe next season which i would be happy with, anyone know what length of contract was given to Blooms?
Fully agree. Gareth has made his bed and now he must lie in it. Blooms should be given at least all next season before any management change is considered.
Probably in a minority, but I'd take Gareth back over Blooms now, at the time i thought it was just a move to please the fans getting him in. But, we look bit a boring. We Never did with Gareth.

This is a similar debt level to Derby's as a percentage to turnover.
We have been here several times before.
Debt to owners matters very little.
Debt to third parties matters a lot.
Next years gap between income and cost matters a lot unless reasonably certain the owners will fill it

What are the chances of Wycombe even getting on 3CR at fulltime on Saturday?

Remember before the 19/20 playoffs the guy who said Oxford were as big a club as Derby? Here's hoping!

Wigan lead QPR 1-0.
QPR lineup 3-1-4-2. Interesting.
Maybe QPR need to do another Haka at halftime.
Charlton giving shrews a pasting. Decent point last week.
As things stand QPR only 3 points clear of relegation with an inferior goal difference.

Apparently one of the QPR players tried to start on their own fans today. Circus.
For all GA's positivity, he must be screaming "What have I doooooooooone?" inside, surely.
Amazing how quickly that's caught up, as I'm sure after their sole win under Gaz he had a 10 point margin!
Suspect he'll be saved by a couple of points deductions below them, and there being 3 crapper teams.
It has the potential of being an absolutely disastrous move for both sides doesn't it!
One assumes QPR said Gareth we're already f***ed with a team full of prima Donna's...come in revise and rebuild and get us out-of League One.

I would not get rid of Blooms even if GA wanted to come back. He is the present and future king now.
So far, after the great managerial merry-go-round it's...
Bloomfield - 9 points from 8 games (1.13 points per game)
Ainsworth - 3 points from 6 games (0.5 points per game)
Col U - 3 points from 6 games (0.5 points per game)
Disappointing for all of them.

Football Is a cut throat game, but there's not a chance we kick Bloomfield out for Gaz and Dobbo in the short term.
The scary thing is the thought of GA becoming manager of Oxford or MK.
Not in my lifetime, as I'd blow my brains out a few seconds before he signed the paperwork.
Ahh, the sweet sound of Chelsea getting booed off the pitch 😍

I don't think you're in a minority, I'd find it odd if anyone didn't agree.
It's just an utterly unfair premise, as you're comparing our most successful ever manager, with a newbie who has had fewer than 10 games in charge!
