On the one hand, they needed very late goals to beat MK and FGR. On the other hand, they're clearly pretty determined and resilient (scored twice in stoppage time vs FGR).
As ever, with a tough game away from home I’ll start by being happy with a point. Then anything above that is a bonus. Although I feel pretty confident that we’ll come away with three points given the way we’re playing of late
Team selection will be interesting, two brilliant wins over Derby and Bolton playing two different formations sandwiching a win over Accrington in which we used both formations at different times.
My gut tells me he won’t go too far from last week’s line-up and formation. Not sure if Jack Grimmer will be available or not, but if not Jordan Willis slots straight in.
Just got my first beer in at Shrewsbury. Very up for this. I’m so happy the club is all pulling in the same direction. Fans. Board. Manager. Players. Everyone buying in. Feeling quite optimistic about it all.

Shrewsbury were the grindball kings at Adams Park, it was like watching a Peter Taylor side.
Perhaps they’ll be a bit more attacking at theirs, let’s hope so as we didn’t have much joy in breaking them down in the reverse fixture.
Shrews were very lucky to beat us at Adams Park in August. That was a very frustrating day.
Time to turn the tables and give them a proper beating.
1-0 would do me.

New manager. Easy win.
Unless he sticks Vokes in goal to show he's going to do things differently from Ainsworth.
Seems a bit over confident there @Kim_il_Swan . A hard 1-0 is good enough and Shrewsbury are no mugs.
Any sort of win, no injuries. Simple as that, keep the bandwagon on the rails.
The game at AP was the lowest point of the season (on the pitch) for me so far. Really looking forward to today.
Bloomfield’s blue army!

Think the rules dictate that Grimmer misses out as he went off with a concussion. Or have I made that up?

No badge talk today?
You're quite right, he's definitely out.
my fault for tucking it up in the corner!
Three lions throwing up.
Jules Rimet needs cleaning
Curtis injured again? He was on the bench last week if I remember correctly.
Only surprise is McCarthy doesn't come in for Grimmer.
Is it a back 4 with Willis right back? Or Wheeler as a wingback?
Is it right that no wycombe manager has won there opening game in ages?
It's around 2 months ago since he surprised us all by coming in to start away at Plymouth.
Since then, has he only come on as sub once more?
Seems a little worrying. But Gape is even more so, as he just disappears completely for huge lengths of time.
Willis can play RB, but Blooms likes to play 3atb doesn't he
3 at the back with wheels and Obita as wing backs? Willis straight swap for Grimmer?
Let’s hope Shrews don’t field two huge centre backs. That tactic seems to take Vokesy out of the game very effectively.
That's conshie talk!
Don’t forget he plays on the right wing now.
I love that it's been so long since we've had a first game of a new manager we can't really remember Ainsworth's one, let alone further back!
