  • If I had to guess right now, I do think Mawson is being kept out for a transfer, but the others are sick. Scowen and Grimmer are good enough to get a move elsewhere, but I don't think it is going to happen. We will do well to keep hold off Alfie and Anis in January, though!

  • Great opportunity for AAH, Kaikai and Horgan. Let’s hope they take it.

  • What sensible club would pay a fee for Alfie Mawson in January when they can get him for nothing in six months?

  • Depends on the fee

Also, perhaps a team has injuries in that area and needs to shore up.

  • Opportunities for AAH, Horgan and Kaikai to show they deserve consideration.

Although I look at the team and think it’s a squad illness issue.

  • A small fee (more significant to us than them) to cover a gap isn't unbelievable but an injury they don't really want to talk about or a bit of wear and tear after playing solidly on achy legs non stop for 3 months just as likely

  • Phil sounds like he could do with a strepsil himself

  • Seems unlikely we'd sell Mawson in January surely?

Much more likely a guy who has missed a lot of games injured over the last 4 years has an injury? Albeit minor.

And this is the closest 2 games of the season - so miss 1, miss both doesn't seem unreasonable.

  • Not surprisingly we are all bit disjointed at the moment

Tactical masterstroke by GA to make substitutions before the match even kicks-off!

  • If he was too risky in august for teams like Stoke why now? I think unlikely

  • Defensively we are at 6's & 7's especially with young Forino cantering forward too often. Thankfully good work from Horgan & Thompson in covering back though.

  • The only reason is that he'd had a disjointed 4 years but has now shown he can put 20 games in a row together.

But like I said, way more likely he's got a slight niggle, and that doesn't just disappear with 2 games in 4 days.

  • Al-Hamadi looks the business. Early doors.

  • Decent showing from Kaikai, Al-Hamadi & Hanlan so far

  • That was an absolute biscuit tin header

  • Two good headed chances. Should have buried one.

  • JJ consistently overloaded

  • Argh. Come on lads!

  • Poor poor defending from tafazoli

  • Thankfully we are playing a team who refuse to time waste with a lead.

  • Soft goal, Taf let his man get goal side, really needed to be a bit more muscular with his man.

  • Might have helped if we had a man on the back stick for that corner.

  • Made a loud bang at contact and made everyone turn around?

  • Smashed a biscuit tin on his head to the sound of Mule Train (You'll have to be older than Captain Pugwash fans to get that reference)

  • Exactly this. I’d be shocked if Alfie went anywhere in Jan.

  • I thought green v red wasn't allowed anymore?

  • Ref is playing to the home gallery a bit making us take throw ins and free kicks back a couple of cm.

  • Hanlan really loose with his touches today and a few players visibly off the pace (understandable given the lack of game time). I think if we can bring on Mehmeti, Vokes and Wheeler early in this half then we’ve got a chance to get something from the game.

A point would be best-case I think though.
