Ricardo Batista (crazy ex-wanderer drug hell goalkeeper) had a masterclass in Primeira Liga today beating Braga and taking his Casa Pia team into an early Europa spot.
Scott Kashket misses an FA Cup penalty tonight for Gillingham at home to Fylde
"Scott Kashket is one of only two Gillingham players in their line-up against AFC Fylde to have scored this season, but after being fouled in the box, he has fired the subsequent penalty the wrong side of the post."
I wished nothing but good for Scott, and really wanted his career to power on. It just isn't happening which is so frustrating as we all know what a super lad he was for us and his undoubted ability.
Kashket will always have the honour of having scored our first ever Championship goal, which is a fantastic achievement. I would have him back in a heartbeat if we were ever in a situation where he could play regularly (Vokes moves on, etc.).
Unfortunately that 3month insane purple patch in league 2 seems more the massive exception.
Crewe was a disaster of a move largely down to injury, but this Gillingham move seems difficult too. In and out of the team, scored about 2 by mid November, and they are battling Colchester United for bottom spot!
Hit the nail on the head regarding Kashket. Great 3 month purple spell when he played alongside Bayo but then got injured and was never the same. Showed glimpses now and again afterwards but invariably never got a run of games in part to him being injured so regularly.
Like most, I wish him well and hope he eventually finds a club to settle at and thrive but I fear that may not happen in the EFL
He'd do a job as a scrappy pest up front with a decent eye for goal but he really needs a big guy alongside him, release from defensive duties, regular games and decent service which he's unlikely to get in struggling lower league side , having said that- all strikers would like and benefit from that...
Scott Brown left us to be much nearer home didn't he? Then turns up a million miles further away at Exeter? Then moves another 500miles back up north? Tough job at times distance wise!

Seems like an odd situation as it’s left them without a senior second choice keeper. I hope he finds his way.
He's back at AP, his loan spell ended on Thursday apparently.
Seems to be, he is warming up with the keepers now
Will De Havilland sent off for Maidenhead at home to Dagenham.

Janoi Donacien starts for Ipswich at Bracknell Town
And former Youth teamer Max Herbert playing for Bracknell
His 100th game for Ipswich.
who would have thunk it?
And just gone past 300 EFL games overall.
Donacian’s performance in defence on his debut was bettered only by Carlos Lopez. A privilege to have experienced both!
Scott Kashket scores in the shootout as Gillingham win at Brentford in the Carabao Cup
Very surprising to see how much better Donacien became after he left us.
Paul Smyth has scored another goal for Leyton Orient.
Will De Havilland has scored for Maidenhead who lead 2-0 at Aldershot.
Three of the four centre backs on show at Aldershot today were ex Wycombe.
Maidenhead are really doing well to remain in the Conference as an amateur team.
I heard they'd gone full-time?
Definitely not as one of the regular songs involves the fact they are semi-pro.
Sung at least 4/5 times today
Penders of Marlow, scored for Farnborough in their 3-1 win over Dartford yesterday.

Scott Brown has left his GK coach role with Exeter to take up a similar role at Rotherham
Makes sense, following Matt Taylor
