2nd half switch to 5 at the back for times helped us no end. Boro didn't really do much did they? One great strike went in, otherwise we ended up matching them without playing brilliantly. How is Alan Swann?
The best thing about that game was that the second half contained none of the niggly, panic play that we’ve seen nearly every week so far. It was calm and confident. Like we got our mojo back. Now I’m off to read Swann’s Twitter for some extra joy.
Had a look at the Peterborough forum and they are too busy moaning about their own players to bother doing WWFC Bingo about us.
Other forums are swamped with 'sent from my Xiaomi Note via tapatalk' after every other post. This place isn't so I can only conclude that nobody on here has a mobile phone. Or something.
I watched the game on the Peterborough ifollow today (the Wycombe stream was really poor quality).. they weren't actually to bad and even complemented us a few times!!
Winning from behind, scoring 3 goals against one of the better teams in the league, and up to 12th just 4 points off the playoffs.
Two games ago that margin was 9 points, and with 2 games against sides in the bottom 3 coming up now, it's all looking a lot brighter.
Didn't think Wing and Freeman worked at all as a midfield, but needs must. But that first of all control of an awkward ball and then exquisite turn and cross by Freeman was superb.
And Mawson again showed his class with sheer composure late on. First of all beating his man, then resisted what most players would have done in shooting wildly, to instead play a very easy perfectly timed and weighted ball to Mehmeti to wrap up.
First time our front 3 have scored in the same game for quite some time.
Swann calls AP a pretty stadium. A very unexpected compliment.
Swann reminds us that the referee was involved in the build up to Vokes' goal, as the ball hit him in the backside and we scored not too long after the restart. Considering this is the same referee who ridiculously sent off Giles Phillips at London Road a few years back, some equilibrium may be restored!
Alfie Mawson. Calmest man in the stadium for the third. Out pacing and muscling their defender to get to the ball first before calmly drawing the covering defender.
I think most players eye would have lit up at the open goal and gone from distance (as I was urging him to) but the experience and vision to see Anis in the middle and sliding the ball to him was superb. Nice bit of icing on the cake.

@Shev & just 4 pts off 6th place with a game in hand...
Thoughts and prayers with Alan Swann tonight.
The most satisfying win in a long time. First win from behind in over a year. Second half felt like proper Wycombe again.
Shuts Alan Swann up.Would you like to rewrite your assessment!
He can’t. I’ve banned him for being an insufferable prick.

Also, only home team in L1 to win today!
I bet @Quartersman80 left after of 2nd goal & assist by Freeman as it went against everything he's complained about since the start of the season!
Lets just hope he destroyed his season ticket after seeing we scored another goal!
You missed "again" between him and for
😜
Top class journalism from a true pro

What a great win. Every man was class for us. Well done boys
How about that tweet before the match by Miriam Page saying Vokes to score in the 74th minute? Brilliant, and the symbolism is just fantastic.
I think I'll be dreaming about that Freeman assist for the second goal. The defender is probably still spinning around looking for him.
That will be extremely funny if we beat Peterborough to the last play off place on goal difference.

Well played.
Though we all await Bluesbloke83 popping up

well, yeah...but...
they appear to have a "McCann out" thread, which, while it wasn't *started* off the back of today's result, has come back to life...

That turn in the box by Nick Freeman which set up the second goal was absolutely brilliant. Amazing bit of play.
Best game this season so far. COYB!!!!

Properly off and running.

This guy. I thought it was even until their goal. Max was busy, but from long shots really, and he's put really instead of rarely
Fantastic, fantastic win today. And reading the Gasroom when we're losing is a lot more fun when you know you've won!
the invitation is for Posh fans...but anyone care to tell Mr Swann "what went wrong" today?

I laughed when Max started pointing gobby posh fans towards the exit.
Two things which stood out for me:
