I believe Tom Elliott is still available. Not an exciting signing having been released from Salford, but maybe one we need if Vokes is out for any length of time.
11 days to go and I reckon we're almost there, probably just a LB and GK (it would be more beneficial for Dickinson to get regular game-time out on loan) short?
I don't know, but we were looking to strengthen at LB in Jan. I worry when he plays there these days, shame we don't play a back 3 anymore as he'd really reinvented himself at LCB.
I’d still think we need a 4th out and out Cb so that we have cover from the bench if one of our 3 are injured.
Both Lb and Rb could be improved on but I think would be solid enough. Is This the year JJ is written off and it comes to pass, or is he just having a wobble along with the rest of the defence, as he’s been played out of position but will (once again for about the 4th season running) surprise everyone. Including me?
I'm sorry to say that I think JJ's time at this level has come to an end. Over the last few years he has picked up quite a number of bookings for badly timed challenges (I may be wrong but it seems like more each year), and in his last three games he has been directly responsible for three goals conceded, giving away two penalties and allowing a free header on goal. I believe he also conceded a penalty in pre-season. One player conceding three penalties before the end of August is unacceptable.
Agree. JJ made a couple of poor decisions in a defence that’s been filling gaps and not plying in a settled state. He might be finally over the hill but let’s not judge that after the defence as a whole hasn’t been at its best.
It has to be a real bad take for me to agree with @Right_in_the_Middle Joe is nowhere near finished and the indecent haste to declare so is… well indecent.
We still need centre back cover. Dynel Simeu on loan from Southampton would be a good choice.
We also need a back-up for Sam Vokes. Matt Smith from Salford City might be worth a cheeky bid.

Picky stuff is a bit annoying but long rants of words that aren't even words aren't going to reflect well on the poster.
Awful thread this anyway. Way off topic but without any of the surreal fun or new information that normally suggests. Not so much as a cheese pun.
I camembert any more of it.
The Exeter keeper looks pretty handy. 😉
Looks vaguely familiar.
maybe one we missed out on ?
Fair enough. I will reiterate - I didn't come down with the rain. haha.
But I agree. Every IP address, I mean person should get a 2nd chance. So far it is tolerable. I will lay off.
Yellow card for me!

No idea if rumoured anywhere else or if this site has any record for accuracy but found this suggesting Danny Drinkwater a transfer rumour https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wycombe-wanderers/geruechte/verein/2805
😂
I don't think we are that thirsty for talent.
boom boom
Past problems seem to do with not drinking water whilst driving and getting injured in a fight.
At a value of over £1 million will he even pass the character test?
Ah but Rob Couhig said ………..

What role do you think JJ has if he can't be 2nd choice left back?
Do we have any idea how bad Vokes injury is ? I know the lads all have promise but if he's out for a while ?

Yeah, I meant to add CB, although I'm not counting on it

Congratulations on falling in to the annual ‘JJ is over the hill’ trap.
Why, after all these years, doesn’t he get some leeway on his mistakes.

Where do you fit all these extra players in a maximum 22 man squad unless they are under 21?
Wakeley out on loan and pick up Pierre for free? Still without a club I believe.
I would expect some of the players in the development squad to go out on loan.
If what I’ve heard about Tafazolli is true, it appears to be a no brainer that we have to bring in Pierre
PS. I trust my source.
The Luton rumour?
I said last week that I'd go for Pierre as well, no brainer for me
Is Pierre good enough for the Championship, though? A loanee might be a better option (if we're still 'doing' loans).
