Can’t see us signing Pierre unless Taf goes as that would just be too much of our precious wage bill being spent on centre halves.
If Taf does move on, however, he’d be a pretty good option without a doubt. Can play left back too if needed. I may be wrong but I think he played left back down at Torquay in the 0-3.
Maybe but he doesn't seem to be particularly deserving of being let off his contract lightly that he signed of his own free will and just before the window closes. He's not massively long standing or being offered a level he hasn't played at previously.
Without knowing any info I'd be more inclined to let him sulk for a week or two and then come back and play unless someone better is available.
Surely any pro player would leap at the chance to step up a level? Just because he's played there before doesn't mean he'll say, nahh I've played there before, not interested?
Especially if say a 3k a week wage turns into 6-8.
That's significant to a player who is 30 ish? And maybe has 4-5 years to maximise his physical job before he then needs to do something else for 30 years?
Yes, not saying he won't want to leave but not sure it necessitates us waving him on his way with thanks for close to nothing when he is under contract. IF that is proposed.
It does not help at all but I was told by someone ITK that Taffs did arrive as usual before the game and DID leave ten minutes later but I also know as I done seen him that he was in the Proboscis stand chatting amiably with fans during the game. Obviously this means...I have no idea what it means.
iran are also in the World Cup. Not that Taf got a call up while we were in the championship he did mention it in passing as a possibility if we got promoted last season and being in the championship and performing well wouldn’t hurt that aspiration.
It could very easily mean he came in, had a fitness test, failed the test and was not ready to play. I'm sure even Ainsworth who likes to be coy about transfers would not repeatedly say Taff has a knock, is back soon etc, if he is about to be sold.
Last season I saw Obita arrive at the ground before he was missing from the team pronounced unwell by GA - as far as I'm aware he did not end up at Luton or Revs.
I stand by my thoughts that the fact we have kept injuries secret for so long fuels these rumours. Peoples imaginations start running away with themselves.

Not necessarily as simple as that if the player is really angling for a move. I'm sure all will become clear soon...
Hopefully it will become clear that this is another round of Taff rumours that are not true.
Yep let's hope so.
If he's really been left out for weeks because we're negotiating or something, that's as daft as what we did with the keeper scenario.

*If this isn't all BS anyway. Not ITK at all.

Let's just hope it's not happening and he does have the slight niggle that is being presented.
It wouldn't look great on Gaz if he's saying he's "close" then we suddenly sell him.
It'd be pretty clear what's gone on.
Phil made a point to mention, twice, that Taff was sitting happily in front of the press box.
Yep, it does seem unlikely there's been this blow up. As per that Revs nonsense last year.
I am sure Gaz said recently that he was looking forward to having him back for his height and command in set pieces.
He also routinely says players are "close" to a return and they're not seen for months 😜
Hopefully he's back at the weekend to take any doubts away.

I'd rather end up at Luton than Revs
I don’t know why Taff is so often the subject of these rumours.
I heard someone repeating the Revs story at the Barnsley game as if it was undisputed fact.
Haha, got to love those terrace rumours.
The annoying thing is that you can feel yourself twitching at it, but you don't want to be that annoying bastad who corrects people.
Probably because he has an Adonis physique and look, and puts himself out there with all his youtube stuff.
That seems to really upset some.
I just put it down to the fact that he’s pretty good and therefore likely to attract interest, which leads to rumours.
Tall, left footed, ball playing centre halves who get a few goals aren’t ten a penny are they?
Hope he stays but must be a chance that other clubs will want to test our resolve.

If Taff goes anywhere it will be Bolton
Bolton is what I'd heard. I'm hoping it's nonsense
Defo Bolton. Free hair cuts in the beaconsfield Menspire and a lift to training from the Bolton’s owner included in the contract.
Maybe we played the 2-5-3 formation at Bolton to try and put them off the scent?
Not sure about that. Revs is cleaner.
Not come midnight on a Friday it's not
I wouldn’t know in bed well before then.
Taff confirms all transfer and storming off rumours in first 60 seconds

I'm just giddy at the amount of injury news. What it is AND how long he's injured for. Mind. Blown.
