Well technically, I just took the plunge to become the latest Vipennial to “sign up” to an annual WWTV sub, so if they really get stuck, could go for announcing that?
Admittedly that’d make the most half-arsed Peter Taylor signing appear like they were god’s gift in comparison, but y’know, if you need a fall-back…
Must of us acknowledge we don't know, but anticipate that he will be - given his background. We hope he will live up to expectations and are prepared to judge once we've seen him play.
YOU on the otherhand appear to have already written him off @Wanderers82 ...
Unlike the pink glass wearing, optimistic, tow the party line weaklings on here @Wanderers82 is brave enough to hate this team (whoever is playing in it) and this manager and has the balls to let everyone know about it...not like the Gasroom cyber bullying sheep and their pathetic 'support'. If you can't handle the truth...just click ignore.
I saw Mickey Bell 14 years ago (27/9/08) at Chalfont St Peter, playing for Team Bath in an FA Cup match. I stood on the far side during the second half and I remember some brief, good-humoured exchanges between him and one or two spectators. He was playing right back/wing back. What I can’t quite work out is why I would have been there although it may have been because a player whose auntie mrs micra worked with was playing for Chalfont St Peter. Can’t remember his name but AFC Wimbledon signed him shortly afterwards.
My post re Mickey Bell was started this morning but interrupted by the need to see if mrs micra remembered the guy’s name. Hence the delay. She didn’t remember but, if anyone else does, please let me know. On here of course.
@ChasHarps ‘Low points’ is a thread in itself, but that B&B Cup Final defeat to Aylesbury, at Slough, was indeed pretty grim. Fortunately it all got very much better, very quickly.
going to be Bishop, squad is in good shape although missised a good CB, if we ever manged to get Mawson (massively unlikely) would fancy us to challenge for promotion. any injuries to Taf , Vokes , Anis and GMac then we are in trouble
We need a CB and GK definitely. I can’t see any announcement today but maybe tomorrow as Bishop may not get down to Wycombe today after his long flight back to the U.K.

Floyd's been on fire this pre-season!
Just to wind up the twitter drones, he'll announce a new car park manager

Or the new groundman for their training ground!

Goodnight.
Charlie Strutton was the Chalfont striker who signed for AFC. I was also at that game, although I don't remember Mickey Bell playing for Team Bath.
I do remember Sami El-Abd, younger brother of Adam playing for them though
Hmmmm
Hmmmm you disagree or hmmmm you disapprove of irony?

Is today the day we unveil Bishop finally? Ainsworth indicated some news on Monday. Or could it be a new centre half?

An unusually optimistic post for you. Are you feeling OK.
Really hope Bishop signs today. From what I’ve seen of him he looks a fantastic prospect and could really be the difference this season.
Blunkell?
Yep that's what I thought ....
I hope the club are teasing us.
What time @Malone?
close enough. Should have asked for Alfie!
It was never going to be Bishop today, unless he was doing it via Zoom🤣.
Top class trolling from the club though.
Have to sign an 'emergency goalkeeper' soon.😁
Bishop will sign tomorrow @Wendoverman .
I've a confession - I'm on my knees in prayer, hoping this is correct. We don't need an inquisition if it doesn't come to pass.
If it doesn't happen soon some on here might become 'incensed' ;)
It's meant to be - he was down under and Bishop Auckland play in our colours.
I'm beginning to regret creating this thread
Hearing today is the day
sure you have been saying this for weeks .....
