It’s interesting every time Ainsworth talks is asked about Stocko replacement, he is very confident that is in hand. My sense the bigger issue is a centre half replacement for Stewart.
Obvs we still need to add a CB, but I think we'll see a back 3 to start the season - looks that way based on friendly line-ups - which arguably makes the need less urgent.
@Malone: I fear my marmite status is under threat with the recent spate of downward thumbs you’ve received. Usual suspects I suspect! (Only the good doctor knows.)
However it's also reported that “Albion helping him (Foster) after 7 years of service but are not looking to recruit a goalkeeper.” So never say never. I reported the story from something I saw on Twitter, everyone jumped on it saying it was rubbish because it wasn't from a reliable source (like the BFP). However, I don't hear of many clubs in the Championship or Premier League that are currently looking for a goalkeeper so we might get a look in once a (few) month(s) goes by without any pay.
Disruptive influence? Sounds like the only person that had an issue with it was the chairman. I can't imagine producing such content would be an issue at Wycombe, and indeed isn't so far removed from what the likes of Messrs Akinfenwa and Tafazolli have produced.
He did openly slag his teammates off in one of the videos. I get the impression his mind is elsewhere these days - which is fine, but I'd be apprehensive about us signing him. Besides, it will be Bishop!
Ok, that was in an interview rather than one of his videos, but still - I don't think Gaz would appreciate that, however justified. He'd be out of our league salary-wise anyway.

Not a very relevant point, we were a very different club back then.
If we can bid six figures for left backs then we clearly have a bit of budget to bring some established players in.
It's Kovar - the other young 'keeper on United's pre-season tour - who's going to Cheltenham

I know you'll probably be wheeling that story out in 20 years, but it was very, very much an outlier to how we tend to do things.
Besides, we're signing him earlier than 1 day before the season starts this year.
(I've said too much).
When's the next big day @Malone ?
I knew someone would bite

I can wait until a week on Wednesday for him to be unveiled.

In @Malone we trust!
I might have been living in a cave for a while, but what about Ben Foster, or is that a player out of our financial league?
no chance we sign him , think he is training with WBA , GA leaving it to lastminute.com as usual.
Ok, just a passing thought.

No chance - wouldn't want him anyway, disruptive influence at Watford

Not sure he needs the money as reportedly worth around £25m.
Caused a bit of trouble at WBA as well as at Watford and we'll past his best. Would prefer a younger ambitious keeper myself.
Bishop is all but done
In anything less than full bishop attire will be a let down
I assume he will wear his mitre on sunny days!
Such a shame the EFL changed to Puma balls, would have been so much potential mitre/Mitre jokes
Bishop
This is a good signing especially as he is out of contract in June 2023. Hopefully a strong loan and then sign him up in May 2023.
Now for a CB.
No but he does wear mitre boots 😁
I imagine he is also comfortable with crosses.
And quite happy with kneeling.
He may have to Alter his distribution style.
Wonder when we will see a good replacement for Anthony at cb or will it be another non league experiment.
