It doesn't have to be one extreme or the other, but if he's setting autos as the aim then he needs to ensure the squad is good enough for that - and I'm not sure that's financially possible without breaking our sustainability model. Which is fine - we're strong enough for top 6 again - but you know what our more rabid fans are like. Not that Rob is there to cater to their delusion.
Could it be an interesting play on words and be a complete let down? I've just had a thought that it'll just be a Welcome to Wanderers TV message from Gareth, making you the latest "signing" to Wanderers TV?
Not the United youngster we expected. Good news, never disappointed at young players signing, would be stupid to be after Mehmeti, Forino and the rest.
Wanderers have made their second new signing of the summer, bringing former Manchester United striker D’Mani Mellor to Adams Park following his release from Old Trafford.
'was recalled early from Salford after making three substitute appearances in an injury-hit spell." Hardly career defining, another promising youngster, possible he'll effectively replace AAH if he steps up to the main squad.
Serious question: Are we anywhere near sustainability currently? I have no idea, and that could inform how consistent any year over year push for the Championship may be.
I'd say with Club transactions, wages and day-to-day running, I think we are close to break even. However, our finances might read more negatively as we have been investigating funds into our training facilities and stadium. Question is, will this come out of the club's accounts or will this be coming out of Rob's pocket?
He was out of contract at the time, we signed him on an 18 month contract and he played 9 times on loan at Bromley.
Has 12 months to prove himself this year, maybe he'll make it maybe not. Perhaps we shouldn't have given him a contract in the first place, but we did.
Honestly don't see how that isn't even giving him a shot?

Waiting for @Malone to confirm…

Cheers! I'm a subscriber and I haven't had that.
@Malone How big is it going to be today?
is it official? is @Malone the new Cressex filling station?
Probably because the email is explicitly for those whose subscriptions have lapsed.
That and the fact it turns out I didn't have emails on anyway 🤦

A Man Utd striker.

I stand corrected! Welcome to the club D'Mani Mellor!

He am de man.
According to Wiki his full name is D'Mani Lucell Bughail-Mellor. Already my favourite player.
U23 skipper at United.
U21 in fact. Now a dedicated thread about him.
Let’s hope the terrace don’t start chanting his full name….’Give is a D etc’!

what was the point of signing AAH.? does not even give him a shot
We’ve lost ‘Tools’, we still have ‘Mustard’, let’s welcome ‘Show Me’.

He hasn't played in any of our games yet this season, sort it out Ainzzworf.

Barking mad.
Yeah, sorry ‘bout that. It’s the Covid. I’m certainly barking.
