Huh? The idea of a shirt 'never having heard such profanities' implies a pretty infuriating player, no? But maybe I've misunderstood - well before my time!
Incorrect, Dartford came in for George, and he decided to move on. He was suspended by the club for disciplinary reasons. But George was the fans favourite in the 80's. Great player, great character.
I mean, I know Manyoo are famous for Fergie time and all, but I really worry that Bishop’s timewasting skillz may not be up to snuff unless he has spent enough time pre-season being “Wycombised”.
woah - don’t forget the key workshops on how to convincingly feign a late attack of cramp, the master timewaster of the modern game cannot and must not be a one-trick pony.
Just watching Rob's interview from earlier in the week again. He wants autos and said:
"There are legitimately 15 to 16 teams who feel as though they should be in the play-offs at a minimum, so hard days.
"On the other hand, we have brought back the core of our team and will be steadily enhancing that team to make it even better than the one that was there last year."
I'm not sure about that. We've got room in the squad for one more senior outfield player, so are we planning to offload a few? And can we really become genuine automatic contenders without spending money we don't have? For me, no - and that's not a bad thing.
Intrigued to see how the rest of this window pans out, but it's hard to see it quite aligning with what Rob has said.

And Lewis Wing
Can only really be MK
We signed Wing in January!
We could use him in the Papa John's
Ah, so just an awful player?
Didn't Wolves have a keeper with the number 11 a few seasons ago?
Are you taking the piss ? Just being arrogant ? Or genuinely don't know ?
Yeah, but there was a good reason for that: https://www.wolves.co.uk/news/mens-first-team/20191226-patricio-on-number-one-shirt-christmas-schedule-and-man-city/

No. Definitely no. Search his name. He would easily pass any Wycombe legend test.
On a short term contract. Now long term
Yeah, but he's not a new signing. Still top business obviously!
Is this the same George Borg btw?
I wish I hadn’t just googled him.
Far from it, George was a fantastic, exciting left back, who used to get booked fairly often.
I clearly totally misunderstood then, my bad! I thought we were still talking about players not suiting their shirt number.
He was a swearer. That's all they meant.
As opposed to his performances drawing swearing from everyone watching.
Ah, gotcha! Sounds like a lot of nasty stuff has come out of his mouth. Apparently he also got sacked by Wycombe for disciplinary reasons?

Yeah, he certainly sounds like a character...
@ReturnToSenda the Bishop story was in the MEN linked in the Facebook group about a week ago.
i’d like him to get here asap, but I can see the benefits to him doing most of his pre-season with United.

I’m more worried about the ability to consistently kick to
Vokes’ vicinity. Pre-season surely needed to work on his kicking …..Sounds like he's already started.
Much rather they hang on and he comes in late and is good than we rush into something else btw. If that is what's actually happening.
Should only need a couple of sessions learning how to tie up and untie his shoelaces at the appropriate times!

"Steadily" is probably the key word there.
Not "this summer".
It sounds to me like we will be utilising the loan market a bit more this season. I got that vibe from both Rob and Gaz in their interviews.
I thought that at first, but he's quite explicit about autos being the aim. We shall see...
