Do we get any compensation for development squad players who go to other clubs, even if we released them? I'm not sure how the compensation model works but they've spent a year training with us as u21s.
I was reading about Kashket's signing on the Gillingham site, and found another link about Neil Harris talking about his retained and released lists.
He went into how it's not always as clear as "in" and "out" and that sometimes they have to offer a player terms just to get a fee from elsewhere, and how he'd technically released someone he may well keep! Some interesting comments.
Good luck to Max Ram. Not sure whether he’ll be playing against Celtic (lazily haven’t checked what league Caledonian Thistle are in) but I remember a headline in (I assume) an Inverness local paper (when they had a very good win in a Cup game against the guys from Glasgey) which went as follows:
We probably have just as much money to offer as Rotherham.... We are a club he knows... We are a club where he knows we hold him in high regards. We are in a league he knows he can piss all over the defenders and get goals galore, giving his profile a kick up the arse again
He and vokes could switch depending on who we are playing.
Both have different attributes as a lone striker.
The dream would be working a formation to have the both upfront, but I don't know if/how that would ever work.... Vokes is sensational for us... Up there with the best we ever had... But .. he's getting older .... And not the fastest anyway.... I'm not saying it's gunna happen.... But just thinking when Paul Hayes hit a certain age and his legs went. ... Loved the bloke as a..... Well . Bloke!?🤷🤣 And a player.... But he showed that it's possible to take it one season too far at our level .... I have similar concerns for JJ. Love them. .....I hope they can still bring it this season
Both Jordon Ibe and Kadeem Harris appear to be playing in the Turkish second tier, for Adanaspor and Tuzlaspor (on loan from Metalist Kharkiv) respectively.

Should we be concerned about the number of ex-players getting as far away from Wycombe as possible?

Max Ram has signed for Inverness.
Like Gillingham?
Lol sorry, forgot to link the tweet @floyd just posted
All perfectly doable on a Tuesday night

If it's like football manager then it's only if we offer the player a contract on the same/improved terms.

That I seem to remember was when John Barnes was the Celtic manager?
Caley are my Scottish team and are in Scottish Championship having failed to go up via the play offs last season.
Thanks for that @woodlands.
Curtis Anderson signs for Lancaster City
Rotherham interested in Uche - I like the sound of that
In terms of us battling them for him?
Surely the higher division action is what he's most after?
As in I think he'd be a good fit for them. No chance he drops down to L1 to be a rotation option.
Did we know Darren Currie was assistant head coach at Southend?

Ian Stonebridge is now a lecturer at Plymouth Marjon University, and studying for a PhD. Would that make him the first ex-Wanderer who is a Dr?
Rotherham just a small matter of £5million for promotion. I somehow think we don't have as much as them.
Vokes is thirty two.
That's 32.
Hardly anywhere near the end is it? This isn't a player who relied on pace.
Hayes dropped off a cliff but also wasn't helped by Bayo's signing.
JJ is 35 so a different category to Vokes.
He’s let the famous conventional hair go a bit since his WW heyday.

Didn't realize Vokes was only 32, i can't believe he plays for us.

Bruno Andrade on trial at Gillingham today. Interesting that they name their trialists.
Wealdstone have just rejected a bid for Josh Umerah, EFL clubs after him apparently
How refreshing !
I liked Umerah suprised he droped out efl in first place
