I would assume he's not keen on the funds and players left at his disposal for a season (possibly struggling) in L1 after talks with the bosses. In a way it's probably a good thing as they get in a new (cheaper?) coach and cut their cloth. It's not like they are really going to be breaking the bank on signings when and even if this new deal comes to anything.
Really difficult to know anything with any certainty or critique his management, he helped raise a bit of morale in odd times and was very well paid for that. He seemed to maybe back the wrong horse and also had some transfer targets should it all clear up a bit but they were never gonna hang around forever.
I must admit my concern and worry for Derby fans has diluted as the months have passed. The complete and utter denial that they did anything wrong from most, blame anyone but themselves, simply couldn't be allowed to happen as they were such a big club etc etc. I even saw some comments from a load online yesterday as soon as this new deal was announced saying " great, we can now start buying new players to get out of this league and get up where we belong ! " deluded !
I'm glad they are going to be safe from liquidation, wouldn't want that, but God I hope they have an awful season getting a few thumpings and go down again to to league 2 !
Let Derby fans worry about themselves, our only concern should be that they survive to pay back their dues to society as fully as they can be made to do and to us to the fullest extent possible. Their opinion on the subject is irrelevant.
Rob does this very un-British thing of pointing out the facts of which a lot of Derby fans are uncomfortable with .
Sadly where the morons are right is that if we do play them it’s going to have to be at least a category C policed game and we’ll have to limit the away support to members of their supporters association and no tickets in our end to people without a history of attending matches . Even so Rob will need to keep a low profile and we’ll have to prepare for some vandalism . The horrible reality of modern day league football.
Bloody daft move. He’s technologically-literate. He knows what tagging “#dcfc” will do. But, it’s not entirely his fault. Rob let the clip go out online in the first place. He should have known the likely consequences. It’s a very strange approach being so public on Derby situation (revealing we could financially benefit if they are bought) when we’re so private on silly things like contract lengths. Cheers for letting all of our rivals know that we’re due a potential windfall. I’m sure football agents will now enjoy ripping us off even more now.

I was being sarcastic, but I don't think he's a bad coach - clearly good at galvanising a group at a time of crisis in any case
I assume Wayne was just waiting for the freedom of Derby to make himself free from Derby.

Quite a bitter bunch aren't we on here.
But if he's going it must be am even sillier situation than anyone already thought.

Thought this was quite amusing on the Derby forum
Gareth Ainsworth - pinching him from the parasitic Wycombe would be hilarious

Being called parasites by a club that did not pay tax, stiffed local businesses and even their St John's Ambulance volunteers is somewhat galling.
I wonder if they’ve erected that statue of him yet.
I take no joy in the pain that the Derby fans must feel but they seem pretty much the most deluded lot I’ve encountered.
Rooney season 1 stayed up on goal difference. Season 2 relegated against a backdrop of points deduction.
Annual wage budget last year of £12m
Weekly wage £90k
He took a wage deferral of his wages not gave them up. He will still be getting his money at some point.
If that’s the basis of a statue then the bar has been set pretty low for me.

Derby have just announced their new kit for next season....
Now they just need to make sure they have it in child size, based upon the prospective age of their squad
🤣🤣 and behaviour of their fans?

Well, at least someone is Derby is paying for WanderersTV.
Speaking of Derby and paying for things... https://twitter.com/TeleFootball/status/1541523037815799809?t=t7jT6ETLmbyXp2Is9-oOIg&s=19
I hope we've got a robust insurance policy on the away end. What a bunch of creatures. https://twitter.com/tlmfootball/status/1541467515376771079?t=Cke55EDqXAS9rWaY6nttAA&s=19
I think they just get offended because seeing we have both :
a) an owner
and
b) a good one
...reminds them of what they do not have.

We just lost one "big club" desperate to be rivals with us, only to gain another.
However, Sunderland was really about events on the pitch, and they went up fair and square. This has the potential for real animosity.
Maybe hire Wimbledon's security team for the day.
I like Tyron, but why does he stir this shit up every time? Posting that seems to serve no other purpose than to get WRDCFC fans all frothing.

The secrecy over contract lengths is just ridiculous. No good reason for it.
Although I saw Kashket had signed for Gillingham and no word of contract length.
Might be a new thing in the lower leagues.
I don't think many people would want their work contract details made public? Maybe we've just got too used to being told.
Length of contract is not anything like the same as wage. I don't know why people keep trying to equate the two.
Wage should be personal and secret, length of contract shouldn't.
Fairly sure most people also don't 'put pen to paper on a three-year deal' when they start a new job. Apples and oranges.
Unless its a fixed term contract, no normal contract has an end date
