My understanding is that if they start the season still in Admin then there will be no points deduction (unless the suspended 3pts for missed wages payments is triggered). The 15 points is for exiting admin with a less than EFL minimum of 25p/£, which as admin exit is latest March next year could be applied mid season if at all. Not sure what would happen if they start the season and do not exit admin by March next year though - thrown out of the league with just 6 games to go?
The March date for exiting administration assumes that they have applied successfully for a 6 month extension, there's no guarantee that the courts would allow that and if they did I think that Quantuma would need to be more cooperative with the courts than they have been with anyone else. I would not be banking on that extension if I were a Derby fan / prospective employee.
It is ridiculous if they are allowed to start with a depleted squad. We benefited last time from a weakened Bolton side, but we are still hearing it as one of many "excuses" for our promotion from bitter opposition fans.

A couple of ITKs on the Forest forum claim that an absolute crapstorm is about to hit. One claims he works in the same industry as the Derby administrators and he is reliably told some ugly revelations are going to occur in the next week or two.
Could just be ITK wannabes picking low hanging fruit (hardly a leap to think the next two weeks are going to be difficult) but if it is true, I am guessing the administrators have run the club into the ground more than most people know.
I don’t know whether it’s a question of the admin running the club into the dirt it’s more a question of them being opportunists picking at the carcass of a rotting corpse or a club. It does seem mad that a company brought in to represent creditors can take on more secured debt to pay themselves handsomely. And then be in a position to say ‘soz never worked out. Lolz’.
People said at the beginning that the big guys never wanted anything to do with Derby and that’s how this lot got involved. You know you’re in trouble when Mike Ashley calls you out for immoral business practises.
If it came to the 1st game of the season and Derby have (by some how) still managed to survive, but didn't have a full squad, would they be allowed to postpone or would they forfeit the game and the opposition would get the 3 points?
There clearly was a reason none of the well know or large insolvency practitioner firms would touch DCFC/MM with a barge pole...namely there was nothing there to cover their costs.
I am reliably informed that there is every likelihood of possibly as many as 3 but more likely 2 Championship Clubs that will also find themselves neck deep in the brown stuff over the course of the forthcoming season.
We played Bolton in similar circumstances at the start of 19/20 didn’t we? Wasn’t their side mostly youth teamers wearing off the rack sports direct stuff?

And there was a scenario a couple of weeks later where the EFL postponed a match involving the Bolton youth team because they feared for their well-being having played so much at the start of the season. Think it was against Doncaster, who obviously kicked up a massive stink at not getting a chance of an "easy" 3 points.
So there is form for the EFL to postpone matches in similar circumstances. Indeed, I think they technically postponed the first 2 or 3 Bury matches in 19/20. And then expelled them from a league a few weeks in when it was clear there would be no imminent solution.

If Mel Morris owns Pride Park, and the additional debt is being secured on PP, then is Mel Morris rather than DCFC liable for this additional debt?
