Wait, do people actually think they're too far from the pitch? Fairly standard for a lower league ground, isn't it? You can even stand right at the perimeter on two sides.
Not seen anything so far that wasn't already in the public domain. He's discussed updating the home end before as well as getting the fans closer to the pitch.
I'd have thought we wouldn't be far short of 12k capacity if the club were allowed to sell all available spaces. I thought it was access and prior crimes that kept the capacity down.
Sorry, youngest son but, after your admission recently (I thought without irony) to having pedantic tendencies, I must pick you up on your comment. I don’t think Rob Couhig said anything about enlarging the goals although, if it could be done subtly (baby steps) like the incremental narrowing of the pitch, the need to find another striker would become less urgent.
Yes, I know, I’m being very silly but the pedantic point relates to syntax. Should be “…wonder how many of them can come to pass” or “…..wonder how much of that can come to pass” but of course we know what you mean and I for one totally agree.
@Twizz has posted whilst I’ve been pontificating. Realistically, Rob’s admirable intentions can only be achieved by relocation, as he suggests.
Rob went into loads of detail about options last season in one of the forums. Ability to host more fans in a manageable way, and to accommodate more / better food and drink outlets will be parts of any plans to increase income longer term. If we went up we'd have huge numbers of away fans expecting to be able to come in addition to any increase we can get.
Question will be how quickly any of this is achievable and how much the trust will need to contribute to not be diluted.
Always thought capacity was limited due to access not due to the existing ground so maybe something has been agreed there. Think access also has to curtail the number of people likely to come back after an introduction
I thought Adams Park had a restriction imposed by the council, that while it is served by a single access road, it cannot be expanded beyond its current capacity?
I would imagine extending the top deck of the Frank Adams stand over the terrace is possibly on the cards again. That's probably an extra 2000 easily.
Maybe now it's the Buckinghamshire Council and not WDC that's dealing with everything, we're in a better place to get additional access, or reaching a compromise with what Dashwood was after?
I believe this was spoken about when we have Steve Hayes who quoted that we could only have 11,500 without building a new route into the ground (however, I can't find the details!) which was the main reason why he was looking at Booker for the new ground.
However, my brother knows someone who works for the ground staff at Adams Park and from the surveys and reports that were carried out last year, the terrace has a max of 3 yrs before its either re-built or fans & club are not allowed to use due to safety.
I'd say that the main stand (Beechdean Stand with the tunnel) and the terrace need upgrading. The terrace acoustics leaves our songs not being able to be heard past the half-way line when compared to the away end. While, the main stand holds the most potential as you could put another stand on top of it so that it mirrors the Frank Adams / Family Stand and could then upgrade the facilities at the same time (club shop, internal bars/hospitality, changing rooms etc)

We need a bigger away end and family stand
I believe it as Ian Baker writes for the Star, doesn't he? But where are they going to stick the extra?
Why do we need a bigger away end? Can't expand the current one anyway!
Maybe this is the source.

Why is the chairman doing interviews with random fans?
Seating above the terrace I've heard
Like a double-deck stand? That always looks a bit naff. A HUGE terrace would be amazing.
Can he do a gasroom interview?
How do we know he's not already one of us...?
In fairness they’ve said before that they’d like to expand the stadium slightly and incorporate more food/drink/entertainment options.
I think a new bar above the terrace was spoken about previously?
It will obviously depend on improving access, which we know is extremely difficult.
Fans closer to the pitch?
More suites?
Up to 12,000?
Better parking and access?
Huge goals and you wonder how any of that can come to pass.

As for the access problem, again: Chairboylift
The only reason we're too far from the pitch is because they keep making the bloody thing smaller!
Maybe this is Rob's way of saying tiki-taka is coming to Wycombe
Could also just be the opening gambit in a game plan that actually leads us to a new stadium in Little Marlow?
Would you turn the chance down.

As it will sell out for a third of this season and the family stand is sold out regularly too.

I think he might be Trevor!

Brown envelopes distributed among the powers that be usually does the trick!
Pretty sure a second access road is part of the expansion proposal
The Daily Star report says, beyond 12,000.
Very silly indeed.
I wonder if the people who hit thumbs down to this post still think Booker was a viable option for us.
Not sure they can do much with the ends behind the goals unless we ditch the terrace.
Frank Adams stand is maxed out, so it'd have to be mirroring that for the main stand which would at least bring in more boxes/corporate facilities.
