Im happy to support a club pushing for promotion every season...even if we don't make it...or struggle if we do...that's the point isn't it? There are lots of other cheaper places to go to chat and buy beer and fast food.
I reckon that any redevelopment needs to consider sustainability too and look at things like rain water harvesting (for flushing the loos and watering the pitch), solar panels on the roofs etc. as well as a serious review of proposed construction materials to ensure they are sustainable (e.g. limecrete, using all removed concrete as hardcore etc.)
I personally think we should just troll opposition fans by pouring all of the funds into a multi-level, state of the art car park, with constant twitter updates as to the number of remaining spaces.
We all crave news, we all beg for interviewees to change it up and be honest - it happens, and we all go mad.
We are so trained to be politically correct especially when it comes to goading football opposition.
I think it's refereshing. RC didn't say anything untoward, he was just honest in his feelings about DCFC owners.
What annoys me is that we use Derby as an excuse for not staying up. We didn't deserve to stay up based on our results and the misfortune that sometimes comes with football. On another day, if we get a decision for us, the whole season is different and I promise you....Derby would not even have been in our thoughts AT ALL!!
Don't worry @Wendoverman, they can leave your seat alone and build around you! However, you might not get much of a view when the stand is finished.....
Actually, this reminds me of the Pre-season friendly we had against Chelsea and when the away end was being built. There were a number of "builders" who were sat on the structure and I recall a 5 min section of Chelsea's warm up was to "shoot" but we actually trying to get / hit the workmen.
I've just picked up on this thread after a 3 day covid wipe out, but a couple of points
The Couhigs are different from the fat loan shark because (a) they don't own a rugby team and (b) they are not property developers. Both of those were major factors driving his strategy for f*cking up WWFC
Everywhere that has been proposed as a site for a stadium (Booker, Little Marlow) seems to have people wanting to build film studios on it. Not sure a film studio and a championship football ground make good neighbours. "... can you keep the noise down a bit while we are filming".
As far as I can see a new access road is far and away the simplest solution, other than a public transport system so good that it will make the Tory ideologues' brains melt
New stadiums start at £10m's and several years and degenerate from there, often proposed by people who think they can sell after its built at a fat profit but lose interest, control, fortunes and marbles long before it sees a game.
There's always an argument that you get a clean sheet of paper with a new stadium but unless you have huge backing and massive crowds it's easy for it to become a nightmare.
If football was a more sane sport, a club like Wycombe would never even be considering a new stadium. We regularly get less than 50% capacity and only fill it 2 or 3 times a season at most. But because of the promised land of the Prem, this madness is considered a sensible direction.
And I'm sure a film studio can work around the 2hours a week that there might be a game on, or would have adequate sound proofing to cut out day to day noise.
Am sure you're right on the key part though, the Couhig's intentions being admirable.

If you look at the size of the plot where Brentford built their new one, it's amazing what's possible!
Is that ‘available/affordable,’ now? I genuinely don’t know.
I think the Couhigs current plans have really put the pressure on Gareth this season. Hopefully he can deliver.
Ian Hollowayesque
On a slightly different note, does anyone know whether the revamp of the toilets and repair of the Frank Adams roof is going ahead during the summer?
No mention of that from Rob.
My description of planned works is obviously inspired by my Desborough Road area observations over the years!
I hope so otherwise the Good Lady Teacher Her Indoors will be sitting in a wet patch again. In the FA not the loo I should add.
I heard they're installing bidets
More civlised. Actually using water to clean up rather than just smear with some paper.

This is surely a new low in close season, lack of any news, bored of no football debate. A discussion about the best arse wiping technique!!
It's certainly a bum time @Theatre_of_Chairs .😊
I'd imagine you'd need to go substantially lower than that on the gasroom. Today, let alone historically.
You can say that again.
Oh, you did.
🙄
If they start on the Beechdean stand it will be nice to be part of a 'They made me move after having the same seat for XX years' group.

Bucks council seem to be completely ignoring all the planning strategies they inherited from the late (and not much lamented) WDC
Or AFC Wimbledon for that matter.

I don’t know that area well.
how long would a new road have to be ?

There is a reason for these 'temporary film shelter/studios' springing up "
I'm sure there are being more familiar with planning permission regulations, who may care to explain.
We can't all be adonis builds like you 😉
