Thanks, there were the usual protests and reviews and it just seems a bit unlikely these days for them to be granted permission on green belt land and that not to come up immediately in the simplest of Google searches.
It does seem like the sort of scheme that might actually be granted either way.
Didn't WWFC play at Wycombe Abbey between 1897 and 1899 while the Loakes Park slope was 'levelled'? (i.e. made slightly less vertiginous than it was previously)

Doesn't that family live at West Wycombe Park rent-free as 'guests' of the National Trust?
Perhaps we could sell the idea of an access road to lord Dashwood if he could take potshots at the peasantry as it made its way to the ground
