No shame, in and of itself losing to Sunderland, and of course no shame in finishing 6th in L1.
But what is so disappointing, and what I wasn’t expecting, was that we looked a bit overwhelmed and underprepared. As others have mentioned, some of our biggest players had their worst game of their season today. Apart from about twenty minutes in the second half the game just passed us by.
Seemed a home game for them. Always awful at the Stadium of Light and put in a similar showing today. Can be proud to get this far, but our most important players didn't turn up.
Not the first game we lost, won't be the last, well done all. See you next year. May we keep the ones we want to keep and replace well the one's we don't.
Not at our best against a very good side very well supported.

Never thought of you as round.
Looking dapper!
Not sure how that’s not a yellow
Oh, maybe he was booked. Not great tv direction there.
My life flashed before my eyes there.
GMac not on it today
That’s an odd change to me. I think Horgan has been one of our few bright spots going forward. Unless we’re going to 4-4-2.
The only thing I can think is that Wing has more goals in him.
Vokes. Why?
Just put your foot through that Sam
so whats your view of the game
Absolutely Hanlan time
Make yourself a hero time.
Our best players of the season, vokes and mcleary, are having their worst games of the season
Hit the nail on the head there I’m afraid.
Our front four haven’t fired at all.
Ohhhhhhhhhh well
Greedy Mustard and then goal down the other end. Heartbreak.
our dour tactics coming back to haunt us as usual il be bullied by certain peeople on this forum for saying the truth .
Lol
McCarthy cannot cross. Who knew?!
We'll just have to go up automatically next season
So, summer transfer thread when?
Oh well. Sunderland were the one team I didn’t fancy ourselves against at the start of the play off campaign.
Full of hope for next year though.

We did well to make the play offs, and then did well to make the final. Victory would have been amazing, but heads shouldn't drop after this.
I do wonder whether we need to look at bringing the age of the squad down before the new season though.
