It's definitely got worse since we've all returned from lockdown. I think the best way to stop it is, any home team whose fans invade the pitch have to play their next match behind closed doors... the clubs will soon do something about it then ! As they will be losing money
Tje problem is you'll never have enough stewards and the f***knuckles who invade the pitch do not care if their team has to play the next game behind closed doors.
they’re gutted that Liverpool and Man City aren't winning because money
some bloke on VO at half time asked Micah Richards several questions and then talked over his answers.
I don't watch Premier League (I only have Sky Sports because Virgin gave it me for free and halved my bill, effectively paying me to take it), is the coverage always this shit?
Some of the punditry is a bit basic but generally fine. Martin Tyler should have (been) retired years ago, though - the Dementor of football commentators.
Sky with the volume down is generally excellent, they buy in to - and try to lead narratives far too often and the experts are far too cliquey and should be rotated more. Far more of a show for children than a serious insight into anything like you get with BTs (often sidelined) set of European experts or the build up to American sports.
Multiple times too. That should be the last invasion of the season, but the authorities need to think long and hard over the summer about what they're going to do to stamp out this nonsense. Normally I'd say Roy Keane was exaggerating, but I agree it's only a matter of time someone does something utterly crazy like stab a player.
I attached my flag to one of those and it felt fairly sturdy - I thought the 'wires' would be really flimsy so that you'd fall straight through if you tried to walk over the thing
True @DevC, although one needs to remember that it is two games and four teams of support. Still brilliant and I've been on a couple of occasions just for the sake of it. Lovely day out.

I'd love to see them get them for £8 an hour with zero training and no prospect of a permanent role

I think all grounds should replace that bit of astroturf between the pitch and the stands with a spike pit.
Some Dutch stadiums have moats (albeit dry ones)
So does Wembley (sort of)

not sure if someone has posted this link already, but more support to the “cokeheads” argument

Newport Pagnell Town have won the FA Vase.
I’m watching Sky Sports. Some observations…

Excellent awareness from Conor Coady there, hoisting his cramping teammate back onto the pitch so the ref had to stop the game.
Gary Neville just quoted Alan Partridge - "Football, bloody hell". I hope it was knowingly.
Sergi Canos with the most hilariously idiotic sending off I've seen all season
He was quoting his old boss Sir Alex Ferguson who said that in the aftermath of the 1999 Champions League final

Ahh, that’s disappointing. Thanks.
Villa’s goalkeeper was hit in the head during the pitch invasion today.
What has changed with fans that this keeps happening.
Never really was a problem even 5 years ago, but Forest, Port Vale, Northampton and now City have seen players attacked in the space of a week.
Or is the media just picking up on it more and more?
Genuinely thought you were joking with that. One of the most famous football quotes of the last 20 years
Ps what's happened to the emoticons on here. Neither :-) :) :-D or :D work

A massive glass wall being activated to 100 feet 1min before the end of the game is one idea.
That or getting the Wimbledon "stewards" in.
Moats
art.
Big cages between pitch and fans it seemed at Wembley? Very effective I imagine but they have plenty of rom around the pitch.
btw anyone else think the Wembley pitch didn’t look that big in real life?

46000 attended Non League Finals Day at Wembley the day after us.
Can't imagine that would happen in any other country in the world.

'Football! Bruddy hell!' Is the exact quote but @eric_plant is correct.😊
Given the number of 'one punch' murder/manslaughter trials it is only a matter of time before someone dies. Billy Sharp was very lucky in my opinion.
If I understand the Conference playoffs correctly Wrexham have been dumped out by Grimsby in a mad game.
Just needs Chesterfield to beat Solihull tomorrow to make it an insane final of teams finishing 6th v 7th.
