Great build up on ITV. Wonderful for me to see Charlie Townsend and Hugh Lindsay being interviewed about the Amateur Cup Final against Hendon in 1966 which Wycombe won, I think 3-1. They were both regular England Amateur internationals in the ‘sixties.
Also, lovely chat between Jobi McAnuff, Adrian Mariappa and Garath McCleary about their days representing Jamaica.
Breakfast kickoffs are always a bit rubbish, we are second best here but on the rise and should take charge here with a bit of patience and some subs.
Agree Hartridge is still very rusty , won't get more games based on this performance. Almost forgot about JMac too until he jogged past to warm up to zero fanfare.
Hartridge has been fine for me - all their joy is coming against Grimmer, not Hartridge. Think the problem is that Udoh, Lubala, and Hanlan all want to occupy pretty similar bits of the pitch, that left channel area, which leaves Wheeler isolated wide right, and he’s not taking a player on anymore, which means he recycles back to Grimmer/Butcher/Bakinson and we go again. Feels slightly lopsided going forward to me
I think Hanlan looks sharp - arguably our best player. The structure / layout / formation isn’t suiting breaking down the opposition. Looking forward to some subs.

And starring as 'the giants'

Better concentrate on the TV now.
COYR
Good to see Dave Basset in the crowd and a guy behind him wearing just a green and white striped shirt - plus underwear etc, one hopes!🥱
No passing out from the back today !
Is Phil's commentary on today?
So slow through midfield. Bakinson and Hartridge want hours to find a pass
That was some miss
No. They’ve lost power in the press box 🤦♂️
Lucky escape there....
No
Sadly no @bluntphil or @BrianJeeves68 as a lack of power to the press box according to the clubs X feed.
Means we have to settle for the poorer option of Matterface & Dixon.
I not sure how their forward managed to miss that chance, looked easier to score & to be honest they sort of deserved to score there.
Lee Hendry thinks we’re playing Wealdston.
Good start from the Stones. We are fortunate not to be behind.
BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful free kick
Not sure we deserve to lead but what a phenomenal free kick that is
What a cracker. Goal number five for Lubala.
What a scorcher!
Fantastic free kick from Bez
Been very slow. Pitch looks dry and bobbly. And for my hattrick of negative comments, I still really don't rate Hartridge.
Well not the greatest half of football, free kick aside. Dare I say we look like a team who havnt had many minutes of football
We’re back to punting long balls to Hanlon. I’m having flashbacks to that run last year.
It’s been very disjointed. Hartridge is not a starter for me.
Exactly that. Kone will come on and finish them off if need be.
Finish the job and get out of there lads.
What a moment Stuart Pearce waxing lyrical over our fee kick!
The home crowd are very quiet, Which is good for us.

Dec Skura has done nothing wrong.

They've run at Grimmer once or twice but Hartridges distribution has caused problems for others a few times, chucking out hospital passes.
