To my knowledge, he's not *done* anything terrible, but some of his views leave a lot to be desired. But we're no longer in the era of the Gaz and Dobbo character test.
What character test? He’s got political views that many disagree with. If you refused to sign footballers with similar political views to Lyle Taylor you’d be refusing to sign half of the professional footballer population. As the chairman, JJ and Bloomfield publicised last week, we accept people for who they are here. And I disagree with his politics! But you best believe I’ll be giving him 100% support on the football pitch. Welcome to Wycombe.
Genuinely excited about this - think he's a super player at this level and could quite honestly be playing in the championship. Hope he's stayed fit after a while out of the game, but I think this is very good business by the club.
One last bit from me. A few months ago, I said on the forum that we were looking at a free agent striker and their agent was pushing him to sign for us and the player wanted to hold out for a championship move. That striker was Connor Wickham. Not Lyle Taylor.
Whereas your views, as frequently expressed in your posts as ''Fuck the Tories'', are perfectly sensible and rational, and could not possibly leave anything to be desired.
In any case, at least I haven't thrown such an almighty strop that I threatened to sue someone - and in doing so drove a valuable contributor off this forum. That was very sensible and rational of you.
I can’t stand Lyle Taylor, a proverbial pain in the arse whenever he played against us. But…..what a magnificent signing - a striker in the mould of Andy Rammel, good on the ground and in the air. Can’t wait to see him in action.

It's confirmed bellend Lyle Taylor!
Lol you beat me to it. I believe @glasshalfempty is also in the fan club.
How come? What history am I forgetting?

That's a goalscorer's haircut if ever i've seen one.
I'm conflicted. Decent player, always terrorised us when we played against him, but a bit of a bellend.
Tbf if you took a look at Garath McClearys twitter likes during the lockdowns his views weren't too dissimilar...
Proven goalscoring record. A good signing.
Someone's gonna have to sew a D on Dale Taylor's shirt.
Yeah, that's true - although still levels below Josh Parker I think!

Maybe I'm holding players to too high a standard, idk. He ought to still be perfectly effective at this level.
Is it because he's the only footballer to google 'Black Lives Matter' and discover they're a bunch of grifters?
(Him and Zaha)
Well said ! Exactly
In fairness, I believe he still dyes his hair pink every year to raise money for breast cancer awareness - let's give credit where due

I'll be furious if his views on every subject don't match mine.
It's 2023 for frig's sake!

he's no Dave Tarpey.
Surprised he's not with Montserrat this week but guess he dropped out of the squad to get this over the line which is understandable.

Is Lyle Taylor Signs a real sign shop?
They are, yes. But fuck the Tories.
In any case, at least I haven't thrown such an almighty strop that I threatened to sue someone - and in doing so drove a valuable contributor off this forum. That was very sensible and rational of you.
A perfectly legitimate opinion supported by facts
Isn't the whole concept of competitive football with its 'winning' and 'losing' inherently fascist???
Though as a Scotland supporter I'm not too familiar with this thing called 'winning'.

Very well said Mr Bargepole.
We needed a proven League One goalscorer, and we've got one. Happy with that!
Is this the most current international players Wycombe have ever had at one time? Up to 6 now I think
Anyone who asks someone to elaborate on why they despise the Tories is clearly a bit lacking up top.
