Only this morning I had a catch up coffee with a Trust Board member which included an accordant dissection of Mustards inability to head a ball or hit a barn door.
Which is why we were on the flat whites in Gail’s not out on the grass at Marlow Road🙄
A good solid win against a bit of a softer looking MK side than we’re used to seeing.
Main positives for me were how much we improved in the second half, the impressive showing from Potts, some great saves from Max and a really composed performance from Low, who looks like he could develop into a player capable of competing above League 1. Reminds me a little of Dan Scarr, without the Plymouth baggage.
Hanlan’s goal will also hopefully give him some confidence. Shame Mellor couldn’t tuck his chance away at the end, but getting in those positions is promising. Big Chris looked like he was on a mission as well today and if there was any sign that he wanted out, you couldn’t see it in his performance.
Lastly, hopefully Taf’s knock isn’t too serious - whilst I’m not sure we get the best out of him in the left side of a back three, he’s still a fantastic player at this level.
Overall, though it’s a competition none of us would run a marathon for, sometimes just winning a competitive game does the world of good for a squad and a manager who needed a bit of positivity and good fortune after Saturday.
He’s got a real knack of having a 5/10 minute spell in every game where he looks completely untouchable. It’s not really his game as he always wants to get on the ball (because his feet are good enough), but if he turned himself into a bit more of a poacher you could see him getting a fair amount of goals.

Big derby victory!!
Ps. Had to quickly counteract the auto correct back from a capital D incase Kim comes for me.
Hopefully this is just a small blip in a very successful season for the Dons!
Excited for the 2nd round draw. Who would we all like to draw?
We won't be hearing from @trevor tonight!
Changed your tune pal
Agreed. Very good performance for Brandon. 👍👍
When is the draw for R2?
Harchester United
Hey Alexo, play ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ by the Prodigy.
Tomorrow at 10:15ish, after Burton v Leicester
Low looks like a great signing!!!
You're weird.
Oh.... right...... 🙄
Good news fellas - we won't need to win any games on a Saturday to win the League Cup.
Tomorrow
At least Milton Keynes FC have a chance to actually fill some seats at their stadium when they play Wrexham later this season.
No no.... they won't give many tickets to away supporters

What a waste of a stadium this is. Empty stands.
Bloomfield loves a Tuesday night it seems. Buzzing with that win after a very slow first half.
Roll on Saturday!
Matt Bloomfield on Tuesdays as Wycombe manager:
P4
W4
F8
A1
I think they do car boot sales, comiccon type events and schools events so they get some use out of those expensive seats.
I've seen plenty of clubs huddle the away fans together in a small section of the away end, rarely see clubs do it with their own fans.
On a completely unrelated note, I’ve started a petition for all league games to be played in midweek.
Bit of a give away…
Wikipedia suggests we paid a fee for him? Is that true?
Yep, per Bristol City
Phew! Season not over just yet then.

Onto Lincoln!
Lots to like about that performance, not least the fact that the Tjay bandwagon is gaining momentum.

Really wanted to see him in an old school 442 next to Vokes but can’t see it happening.
Joe Low was clearly very impressive.
Are there echoes of Alfie Mawson’s debut at Newport County?
