I know it is 'only' the League Cup but I agree that it should be a strong team out there getting some extra minutes (and penalty practice?) in before two tough league games. If it was a Pizza Cup group game, I grant you that the children should be set free, but tonight they need to right the wrongs and build on the good stuff of the weekend.
The only place where I can do the weekly Asda shop, have a quick bite to eat from Nando’s, catch a film, top up on last minute necessities from Superdrug and then finally enjoy 90 minutes of football, all without moving the car. Pure bliss.
Would like to see De Barr, Young, Jasper and Ward tonight. I’m also rather optimistically hoping that Taf is involved to some degree tonight.
I’d expect Breckin to start as he seemed in most need of first-team minutes from the loanees on Saturday, hopefully on a bigger pitch and in a slightly less pressured environment he’ll be able to show what he’s got.
I was in a car with a work colleague who lived in MK a few years ago, and as we exited one of the roundabouts, he said 'we're now coming into the up market part of the city'.
Much stronger than I expected it to be - wouldn’t expect Scowen, Vokes, Forino or Taf to play the full 90 as I imagine we’ll need them for Saturday, but a really good line up.
The early goals rocked us. You don't expect 2 goals and a penalty awarded against you within 10 mins.... you can't really plan for it either because it is .... well not in anyones plan for that to happen.
We had a young squad out and many debutants to wwfc and to mens football in general. They would have not been mentally prepared for that.... they would have been bags of nerves and excitement and not playing at their best. The early goals would have well and truly pissed on their fire and rocked them to the core.

Anyone know where to park tonight?
That would work as well. Matt could show them the video of the first half and say “ Do you see that, yes well our game plan is to not do any of that “
Ah - Stadium:MK…

About 80% of Milton Keynes is a car park.
With 19% just being concrete and the rest is only 1%

It looked exactly the same as every other part.
Stryjek, Grimmer (c), Scowen, Forino, Tafazolli, Breckin, Vokes, Boyes, Low, Potts, Taylor.
Nine subs tonight: Shala, Jacobson, Leahy, Keogh, Hanlan, Mellor, De Barr, Pattenden, Vincent-Young.

No Gmac in the squad tonight. Expect to see a photo of him holding a QPR shirt, whilst shaking GA’s hand, in the morning.
With JJ on the other side
If you are talking a few years ago, the place was still a town. One of the final acts of the late queen (August last year) was to give it city status.
He probably thought if we get a thrashing from the plastic fantastics... then the Bloomfield out brigade will really start up with their nonsense 🙄
I don't know much about mk.... I try not to....
Have they put out a strong side against us does anyone know?
Good lineup.
Now just need to worry about actually getting there, slow going on the M1
Apparently so. A strong League Two side.
Pretty good - Leko and Eisa were both good League 1 players who they did well to hold onto. Harvie pretty decent too.
We ought to have enough really as you could argue that all but 2 of our starting line up will play the majority of our games this year, but let’s see.
They’ve got 2 blocks out of about 40 on sale to the home customers.
They'd be a crowd far more in tune with the El Plastico with Wrexham at the weekend
Come on you Chairboys!! Vokes FGS I predict! ⚽️⚽️
We’ve made it past the first minute with a clean sheet so far!
Well this is a vast improvement, some lovely football on show. Low looks decent.
Did @bluntphil just have a spell of refering to Potts as Potter?
This is more like it.

Agreed - I genuinely think it’s a different game without that horror show of a start.
Most certainly so 😅
A few really good saves from Max so far - missing the pace of KVY on the right atm though
Boffins at the Open University showing MKDons how to keep a clean sheet
What are we playing at?! 😡
Whoever is on the drum tonight has been excellent, great job leading and keeping in time with songs
