I liked him as the main man for Capital Gold sport back when that was a thing if we're being old. Think he still does a good job and has genuine enthusiasm, notice how many of the Prem regulars are having the summer off rather than research a range of new players.
I don't know the answer to the question but I do have to say I find that dog incredibly distracting as a spectator. I can't begin to imagine how distracting it must be for the players to have that thing going up and down the sideline. (and no I didn't think it was an actual dog).
France scored an offside goal and he found it quite amusing that the French striker scored by back heeling it between her legs. Oh what fun a ball hit a footballer and went in. She clearly made an effort to do it. And I would wager that if a male footballer did it he would be knocking one out live on air.
Might need a less old school commentator for the women's games. Less of the Ladies Know Your Limits type.
Personally, I can't stand his commentary. Really annoys me when he states that the "forward really should have scored there, it was a free header"! It clearly wasn't a free header when there are two defenders trying to challenge for it. Plus that rotund fool trying to tell toned athletes what they should & shouldn't be doing when in all likelihood he hasn't seen his own privates since he was a teenager is hypocritical at best.
Still better than Martin Tyler, whose ability to suck the enjoyment out of a football match like a Dyson sucks dirt out of a carpet you almost have to admire
Peter Drury is my favourite, although Tyldesley still very good. ITV ditching him for Sam Matterface was the equivalent of getting rid of Paul Hyde and replacing him with Brian Parkin
Finished 2-0 AAH forcing a defensive handball and converting the pen with a bit of help from some combo of the goalie and post.
Have to say Ali looks like he's going to make it. Strong and quick, proper handful.
Nick Freeman is class , not sure if that still offends people, Young, Parsons, Hanlan all impressed.
@Otter87 all the main coaching staff, and the senior players (although most were only watching) were at the Bournemouth game, guess Sam grace took the Aylesbury game which while technically was a Wanderers xi wouldn't have had any contracted players and didn't even have the 3 first choice trialist defenders as they were at Brockenhurst
I was about to say this. Finally we have change shorts and socks again for our first choice kit. Not only does it look good but hopefully means we will be wearing the blue quarters at every possible opportunity - as it should be.
I think there are new rules this season for the benefit of the colourblind in which you can wear your away kit at home, as well as mixing and matching combinations. I may be wrong but someone more in the know may wish to enlighten.

@ReturnToSenda I think he might have been promoted to Match of the Day

Remember the time Pearce got completely confused by goal-line technology? And does he still have his weird obsession with putting men on the posts?
Was it Pearce who thought there was a dog on the pitch when it was on the video ad boards?

Surely not the Vitality dachshund? 😂
To be fair it was in the second half after he had had a skilful at half time!
Looking at the squads that we've played in our friendlies, what formation do you think it is? Are we going back to a back 3 formation?

Rant over!
I agree, can't stand him, one of the worst out there

Tyldesley still the best imo, relatively new guy on Sky whose name escapes me also very good
Seb Hutchinson! I think he's also done some of the Euros.

I seem to be in a minority who can't stand Drury. He exaggerates so much, feels scripted at times.
Jon Champion and Ally McCoist are a fantastic duo
Martin Tyler/Gary Neville top billing.
1-0 Hanlan.
Good work from someone in the Morais mould up front.
Called Charles?
In fairness, Wycombe had a ref who ruled a goal out against us once, due to mistaking a steward's hi vis coat for being the lino's flag!
Nothing will ever beat Renato Sanches passing to the Carabao logo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFEyUVhjqV8
Decent win against AFC Bournemouth U23s with a goal for Hanlan & a penalty for Al-Hamadi
In the dev squad game at Chesham v Aylesbury it was a 1-1 draw (we put out 11 trialists)
It was interesting that no coverage was given to the Chesham game tonight? Who was managing either of the fixtures?

Chris Forino and Jordon Ibe we’re both at the Aylesbury game.
I like the kit with the light blue shorts

I'd be pretty annoyed if we wore our away kit at home tbh
