He said the "best site" was off Barnet Lane at "South Underhill" - metres from the club's original home, which was demolished and replaced by Ark Pioneer Academy secondary school.
What that article fails to mention is the current stadium is 0.7 miles as the crow flies from the London Borough of Barnet but five miles from the old ground.
They did have permission from the LBB to build a new stadium just yards south of Underhill but that was over-ruled by John Prescott the Deputy Prime Minister at the time.
The land is still available south of the Ark Pioneer Academy (formerly Underhill) and we are 20 years on so new planning might be approved.
I quite like The Hive but a new compact stadium in High Barnet would be the ideal scenario, would be like us building a stadium on the west side of the Rye.

My mate just sent it to me. Very immature of us to find it so hysterical, I know.
As you can imagine, I was shocked to the core!
Sheffield United lose 5-0 - again. Conceding 2.6 goals/game on average, quite feasible that they ship 100 this season. Impressively bad.
Can anyone work out why Casemiro wasn't sent off there?
Apparently not
He plays for Manchester United.
Geordie Arabia sporting director Dan Ashworth put on gardening leave after telling them he wants to join Man Utd. Due £10m+ in compo apparently, oof.
