Oxford United (h) (League One) 2018 / 19 - Match 8 - Sat 15/09/2018 - M40 Derby Crowd Predictions
This could be their cup final.
The last time we met at Oxford the attendance was 11835 in League Two and they were above us in that League. I have other better memories of visiting the Stade de Three Sides.
The time before that was on 19.12.15 at Adams Park earlier in the same season in League Two - they were above us in the League and we won 2 - 1 with goals from Garry Thompson and Jason McCarthy. That attendance was 5742, one Diving Danny was playing for them, but it is difficult to judge whether he boosted the attendance or otherwise.
So another hard one to predict. The match is all ticket for them, but they are a miserable lot at the moment so might not manage 1800.
We took an outstanding number to Charlton and we stood and applauded the team at the end of game where only the result was disappointing.
This could be an opportunity to sing "Sacked in the morning" and "Non League and you know you are". It is one game I have been looking forward to for a while to overlay the memory of the last time we played them. I am sure our team will be up for it.
So I go:
6402 with 1598 persons with a sense of entitlement.
Happy predicting
Oh yes and there will be a token prize. Probably the match day lapel badge from Terry's Badges.
Comments
6123 including 1675 Poxford
6848 (1428 away)
5998 and 1313.
Might be worth putting it in here that they've sold out already.
If permitted I would like to increase my away estimate to 1800.
Of course they have sold out remember they are a “big club “ !!
6214 (1800 PNL), 2-0 (Stewart, Kashket).
1800 Poxford then
Oh dear. I find that I have a very deeply felt aversion to changing proper true Wycombe fans into pnl persons - so the small print is going to say for this game that nobody is allowed to increase their prediction of the away crowd. It looks like I have to include myself in that rule.
It also now occurs to me that if the crowd gets towards 7000 we might well sell out the terrace, I think it sold out first against Stevenage for Party at the Park, and it will have plenty of atmosphere for the game against our old friends with big ideas from down the road. I guess our own club will put out some information about sales.
I will work up the spreadsheet for this one on Tuesday evening all being well.

I have put the spreadsheet together after 15 predictions - ordered currently for the calculated predicted home support - which goes from around 4300 to around 5400. I will put it in the normal order later in the week.

I hope it will be a game attended by some who only come to two or three games a season.
The weather at the moment says 21 degrees with sunny intervals, but I remember the Micheal Fish - "Trust me there is no hurricane coming"
Anyway - one to look forward to. Come on you Blues.
