I’ve no idea who “championed” Steve Hayes’ plans back in the “noughties”. I recall that there was initially considerable optimism among fans about the prospect of reaching the Championship within five years but also, within a year or two, a vociferous minority (of whom no doubt @marlowchair is one) who presumably “saw through them”.
Like @Wendoverman, I am only “here” for the football and the joy that all aspects of being a supporter of WWFC brings. @marlowchair (and how we wish he would emerge from his cloak of anonymity!) comes across as a somewhat joyless person, and more vociferous than anyone else in the history of Gasroom 2. He clearly has an axe to grind against some or all of the club “establishment” but the irony is that, without those people, it is almost certain that there would be no club, certainly not in League 1.
I am surprised (in the context of the the optimistic assessment less than a year ago of the financial situation) that the current ownership model has been deemed unsustainable. Like others I have spoken to, I am apprehensive about potential dependence on investors whose commitment to WWFC may not be as strong or enduring as that of Mr Beekes and what @marlowchair describes as his cohorts but I shall keep an open mind until I have heard who they are and what they have to offer.
I’m being facetious in pointing out glass half fulls ridiculous premise over past weeks that directors should pay gasroom no heed.
Events this week have proven the Chairman definitely does read this board and cares about what we discuss so only further diminishes glass half fulls position.
Onto the matter at hand Alan, I mostly always use the terrace end kiosk as discussed , sometimes stewards let us slip Between the terrace and Beechdean through the gate to use their terrace kiosk. When in woodlands we go upstairs to upper frank Adams. Last night was terrace as usual.
I did not say that directors should pay no heed to this forum, I said that it’s not their duty to respond to every accusation/allegation/complaint posted on an Internet chat room that does not necessarily reflect the views of the majority of Wycombe fans. They are volunteers who already give up their own time to help run the club that you seem to enjoy criticising so much.
What's all this shouting....we'll have no trouble here!! For the record I tended to keep out of the Hayes debate in the olden days as I am a more recent arrival and knew less than others about the whole debacle, great two footed tackles of the past and the history of the club in general. That said, I thought ground sharing with Wasps was not great and his stadium idea to be funded by local government (however enthusiastic some of them were persuaded to be!!) was alarming and (whatever our Devon poster believes) was mental and about land grabbing and development rather than helping Wycombe Wanderers or the sporting hopes of the town. I was surprised ( again - as local government was involved) but delighted that it got biffed by the fine folk of High Wycombe. Many thought we would not survive the great Mr Hayes taking his balls and his loans home, but we did. As for the new plans...I can - as I assume most of us can - the benefits of both sides so I would want to see what is being offered and on what terms and it will obviously take some poring over and discussion before we can assess where it takes us. @glasshalffull has to accept that the championing of selling by those closely tied to the previous regime is bound to be questioned and queried and also it is worrying for those of us who do not get to the meetings to hear (hearsay) of questions being ignored or people being bullied. Sadly, I suspect the majority of fans (like most voters!) will roll their eyes about all the shouting and only take notice when they turn up to Adams Park one day to find a big padlock on the gate ('Ere how did that happen?') so it is vital people do have a voice on here. What form having that voice takes will be different for different people, but getting personal does not help and tends to deflect from the main subjects. And yes.. sad as it is...having a very busy, frantic working life, I am prone just to sigh and try just to concentrate on the football unless I'm dragged kicking and screaming into decision making. There are interesting points been made on here by both sides...

Don’t shout @Malone, it’s unseemly. I most certainly did not suggest that he/she should reveal his/her identity; I chose to reveal mine because I’m an open person and I’ve nothing to hide. I know a lot of people at the club - having been a season ticket holder for nearly 50 years and - and, as a “people person”, I find people’s personalities and attitudes intriguing. It really is as simple as that.
I was on a rare outing to the FA and hardly ever buy any food and didn't last night. Menu seemed the same, though it did mention AMB on the price list). There was a long queue prior to kick off, but I've got nothing to compare it against. Only time I've eaten at AP in recent times is when I had chips and they were pretty decent.
@Malone, you're surely not suggesting to @micra that he takes on a different personality in the Gasroom? I can't believe anyone does that. Does that really happen? My illusions are shattered.
@marlowchair I try and be as neutral as possible on here, (RMJ aside + and any other wums). Over the last few weeks you have put across some very salient points and I had warmed to your POV. @AlanCecil has asked a very relevant question, probably to help iron out some wrinkles, yet you haven't responded, which leads me back down my original thought path, that you moan for the sake of it. You may agree or not with @glasshalffull, (sometimes I do, sometimes I don't), however, you did resort to a personal attack, which doesn't help your cause at all. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to deduce who he is, or that he possibly does receive some "benefit/s" from his association with the club. I don't think it unreasonable, that he may, using other associations within the football world, possibly return those benefits and more? Was it not a chance meeting with him & MON, that eventually led to a huge upturn in the clubs fortunes some 27+ years ago?
Whilst I agree that it's good to keep a close eye on all the machinations of the running of WWFC, please try and ask the questions to the right people, in the correct way and the proper channels. Possibly this whole topic needs to be left alone until the next meeting/s, when enough will have been discussed on here, for every facet to be micro analysed and then I am hopeful, proper conclusions can be reached.
I believe @glasshalffull has offered you from his own pocket, your season ticket costs back? As you appear to be find fault with every part of this club, why not take up the offer and find something else that you may find more fulfilling? You never know, it may enhance and extend your lifespan.

Excellent, except I did answer Alan Cecil’s question directly.
And the premise that I , a season ticket holder of many seasons along with my family and family before me ,choose not to accept below basic standard food and beverage service at my football club of choice , so am labelled as nothing but a moaner Who should give back my ST , is absolutely preposterous and a very example of the mindset that has crept into our club by some - not all - office holders .
I’ve no issue with glass half full at all and he is one of many who have made sacrifice for our club over the years. I have issue when he somehow seems it appropriate to criticise a paying patron for having an opinion on the kiosk quality and standards when he doesn’t need to frequent those same kiosks because he dines elsewhere. Maybe or maybe not at the clubs expense.
If he is the person you say, he has also tussled with many younger generations of supporters on Facebook too over recent years.
I clearly love our club and watching the football we produce. I love the coaching and am very proud of our efforts and results as a small club with meagre resources showing bigger richer clubs how to be a successful club. The ridiculous idea that because I am passionate about retaining our values, governance and transparency and I speak out to protect that when I have information thats important, or that because I complain about the absolute dross that our match day kiosk offering represents , i should accept an offer to walk away and surrender my ST is as flawed a suggestion as it is offensive.
I find some of your posts hypocritical. You aren’t afraid to make fairly serious accusations and allegations about the people running the club and the services being provided yet take offence when someone points this out. My offer to refund the price of your season ticket was tongue in cheek based on your countless complaints and obvious dissatisfaction with so many aspects of WWFC. It’s clear that you have passionate views about the club and I respect that but it’s equally obvious that you prefer to leak sensitive information on an Internet forum rather than take practical steps to help improve matters.
For the record, I don’t eat at Adams Park and I do contribute to the club in several ways including financially.
@PrinceOfCrowell said: @AlanCecil I stopped buying food in the FA stand when they started only selling it from one kiosk and drinks only from the other one.
Queue is abosolutely horrendous.
Noted - thanks.
The club have taken steps to try and improve the offering and service levels.
Let's give the new company at least the next two Saturday's and see how it goes.

Perhaps if you had more of a sense of humour you'd have taken this in the spirit it was clearly meant. You debuted on the Gasroom complaining about F and B, and chose to again last night in the midst of an exciting come back when you perhaps should have had other things to worry about.

Certainly Parry's conduct towards certain supporters in the past has been questionable. But for the most part, he's a much fairer contributor to this forum than you have been.

The problem is, the posts generated by your genuine concern for the future of our club, concerns i share as it happens, are overshadowed by the posts generated by some kind of grudge or axe to grind. It's a pity, because you clearly have a source 'on the inside,' but have managed not to become a club stooge. If you lightened up a bit, you'd be a valuable asset!
As per my username I must say I find the contributions from both @glasshalffull and @marlowchair fascinating. I do hope @marlowchair is not put off posting by some of his or her detractors and would also echo the words of @EwanHoosaami - how lucky we all are that @glasshalffull and MON had a pee together that night - apologies if I misremembered
Thanks for that @ValleyWanderer and @floyd. @Malone blows hot and cold towards me and I find him an enigmatic personality. The reference to “incessant pedantry” seemed misplaced but at least it shut me up for a while!

He isn't after help. He does seem to need some.
@MICRA, just out of interest, why should @marlowchair reveal who he is anymore than anyone else should?
If he's "Steve Smith", or someone else you've not heard of, what would you have gained?

Does that make it cessant pedantry?
Nah, it's a pretty continuing theme, innit.
but thanks for "enigmatic". I'm taking that as mysterious and handsome, thanks chief!
@marlowchair It does beg the question then, why berate on a public forum and then choose to answer via DM? Seems an odd turn of direction.
? I haven't used DM ?
I answered him Directly in my post above.
Tempted as I was to refer to “incessant prattle”, I opted to bite my finger.
