might be a bit contraversial but of all the commentators and summarisers we have had it Scotty that often winds me up, not hutch bad but annoying at times
As FM reception of 3CR is poor in the Wycombe area couldn't the Wanderers commentary be put on the DAB stream with the other matches on the FM frequencies that are strong in their locality?
A quick, simple and nil cost solution to getting better coverage in Wycombe of our games.
It's a bizarre situation. All I can suggest is that people complain about this to 3CR, the contact details are below. The BBC is funded by us all and therefore your complaints deserve to be heard so please do air your grievances, otherwise nothing will ever change.
I have tweeted & text a number of time and my existence hasn't even been acknowledged. Then when I have called I’m told the sports director/editor isn't available and to call back later feel like I'm banging my head on a wall.
This is in no way aimed at you Phil just venting. I appreciate that you do the commentary voluntarily. keep up the great work
Wycombe Sound is returning on the 19th November for another four week run.
On the evening of Friday 20th Nov, I'll be hosting an hour long show based on Wycombe Wanderers. It will be discussion based and I'd love for a fan to come in and take part/offer their point of view. If you are interested, then reply to this and I can take things from there... On the evening, you will be required from 7.30pm - 9pm.
For those interested in tuning in, I'll publicise the show nearer the time with full details.
Hopefully, Wycombe Sound will be granted a five year licence very early in the New Year so that the station can be a full time and on FM.
I've just been tweeting with the film's director Jonny Owen. He revealed that he was thrown out of Adams Park, as a Merthyr fan at an FA Trophy game, for swearing at the referee! Sounds like a top bloke.
Good review, Phil; really looking forward to seeing the film. Strange how back then pretty much everyone would get behind whichever English (or Scottish) team was playing in Europe - Forest, Villa, Liverpool, Ipswich, even Aberdeen. These days I find myself happier to see Chelsea or whoever getting turned over by some benighted industrial town team from Ukraine or wherever. There's no longer any feeling that the big clubs represent England, only themselves.
Forest's story really was like something out of a fairy tale when you look at it now. Can't ever see its like happening again, and that's what's gone wrong with football in a nutshell.

@bluntphil will you be on 3CR tonight for those of us who can't make it but are in the Wycombe area? Can't stand any more Luton commentary
Evening all.
Full match commentary will be on BBC Three Counties 104.5FM (MK area, sorry @MightyWanderer) and on Chairboys Player.
Commentary will be with me, Geoff Doyle and Keith Scott.
@bluntphil I don't really understand why Wycombe commentary wouldn't be broadcast in the Wycombe area?
first page of this thread sums it up in detail. Short answer - complain to BBC 3CR directly.
