Very interesting. The positive media friendly words aside, did you get the impression Gaz was raring to go @bluntphil or is there a pessimistic mood in da house?
Looking forward to your commentary @bluntphil recovering from my op and hoping physio doesn’t get in the way of my listening pleasure. Shout out from Cayman!
@Wendoverman I found Gaz to be his usual positive self who also uses the opportunity to put across the size of the challenge he faces. He has come a long way from his first season in charge.
Safe travels to those who are heading to the game and for those that aren't, full commentary will be on BBC3CR 630/1161 MW and on iFollow. We will be joined by Nick Tunney from the BFP.
I was honoured to be one of six football bloggers chosen to review the new book by Michael Calvin. If you want to see further than the pomp of the Premier League, check it out...
Commentary highlight of the season so far... Ballroom Bill describes a partridge being removed from the pitch before going on to explain how to get a swan off a motorway:
Not Phil C's coverage, but as the thread title is "radio coverage", I thought i'd add it here...
Wycombe Sound normally has some good Wanderers coverage post game, normally co-inciding with me getting back to the car.
Today they seemed to be boring on about some park level rugby instead!
Not sure if the walk was quicker as more people hung about in the stadium in the circumstances, or whether they'd already done it..but they seemed to be hanging on for ages..waiting for soundbites from an amateur rugby club's players when Wycombe had such a fabulous late win

Ahead of the big kick-off tomorrow, I spoke with Gareth Ainsworth about the season ahead, signings and the loss of Luke O'Nien ⚽️?

Great interview - GA was measured, calm, dignified, realistic, yet also optimistic. He would make a terrible fan.

@Malone There was nobody from Wycombe Sound at today’s game.
That explains it then! Ta Phil.
A strange one off? Or just lucky I've only listened when they have been there?
