Indeed it was. Don’t think Josh Umerah backed out of much. I was disappointed when he moved on after half a dozen games on loan but, to be fair, he hasn’t played at a higher level than lowly League 2 in the meantime (albeit currently for a club that knocked us out of the FA Cup not too long ago).
At one stage he seemed to be being groomed as a Bayo alternative. Seem to recall fitness issues stalled him. Good to see he's doing well, and no doubt young enough to climb up the leagues at the right time.
Sad to see a fairly despondent post from Nnamdi Ofoborh, on the lines of "2 operations, 2 years, 100s of appointments", goes on to say he has had to be silent but mismanagement was involved. Can only wish him the best, such a promising player and seemingly decent young guy.
He was only 25 until last Wednesday. But eight clubs (including a few loans) in five years suggests that he has had difficulty in making a lasting impact until now. Could be the right time to give him a second chance.
You might well say the same about the much younger Ali Al-Hamadi.
Third tier Falkirk, captained by Stephen McGinn, are through to the Scottish Cup semi-final after a 2-1 home win over Championship Ayr United tonight. Ayr scored first and missed a penalty on 81 minutes, which would have given them a 2-1 lead, only for Falkirk to score the winning goal two minutes later.
They will face Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the semi-final at Hampden, Rangers play Celtic in the other tie.
Was at the Falkirk v Dunfermline local derby match earlier this season (friend is a Pars supporter). Scottish 3rd tier fixture with 7,279 in attendance with 9,530 at the return match at Dunfermline last Tuesday night - great crowds. Interesting ground at Falkirk - stands on 3 sides only - almost thought I was at the Kassam but the Falkirk stands are behind both goals and up one side!
Michael Harriman signs for AFC Rushden and Diamonds. It seems he’s been out of the game for a while so hopefully this is a sign of things moving in the right direction for him.

That wasn't him.
Alex jakubiak was the header ducker.

Was that him? O nein went nuts at him? Thought that was a player beginning with a J who didn't play for us again.
(Unless there were 2 separate players doing it!)
Keep up, young Malone !! See the ever dependable @ChasHarps post above.
Ah the peril of typing on the smaller phone screen.
Glad I'd not mis-remembered it though.
Strange mixing up of the 2 players.

That still annoys me.
It’s a peril I face daily I’m afraid @Malone
I take it you couldn’t relate the handsome physog of the guy on Facebook with the old codger on here ?

Jason Banton announced his retirement today. Apparently there were no clubs left that he hadn’t played for….
Ali Al-Hamadi with another goal!
Football league? Completed it mate.
Al-Hamadi scores again. 7 in 7, I think.
I wore my fringe like Stephen McGinn's
I wore it hoping to impress
So frightfully camp it made you laugh
Tomorrow I'll buy myself a dress

Junior Morias to Notts County from Dagenham on a 3 year contract.
I am a big fan - I hope he smashes it.
I can't believe he's still only 30 years old ! I'd have quite happily kept him here at the time he left
Was Harriman one of those that left because we couldn’t afford to keep him just before the Couhigs rode into town?
I remember he was a pretty good player I was sad to see go
And a good heart as well, I remember when he did the sleep out over night at Adams Park for homeless charity.
Yes, he was in that massive cull, or else I expect we would have kept him.
Harriman’s also working for Peterborough United as Head of Player Care in its academy.
I thought he was great with us…very useful at right back, right wing back as I recall.
Sido scored from the spot last night as Ebsfleet were knocked out of the Kent Senior Cup.
Paris as well, if I remember rightly. I'm guessing that was one of Gareth's toughest times with us (post-Torquay anyway).
