Who was the player we signed a few years back (before Ainsworth took over) who played 1 or 2 games then went to Northampton a week later? Think he was of Cypriot,Could be wrong though.
Scotty Kashket now has a goal and an assist (of sorts) for Gillingham in the league this season... Gillingham's only 2 goals in 8 league games so far 😐️ Taken off at half time last night though, hopefully not for more time on the treatment table.
That’s surprising that they’re doing so badly. I didn’t really follow their transfer dealings over the summer, but I heard that Neil Harris had them performing far better since he took over, although not enough to keep them up.
One look at the top tier of the conference is enough to know it can be a graveyard for former league clubs (as half of them are), I hope Gillingham don’t go the same way.
Don’t know if anyone caught any of Maidenhead v Gateshead live on BT Sport yesterday.
Maidenhead we’re pretty poor to be honest in losing 0-1 at home, where they normally have a strong record.
Gateshead, managed by former Chairboy Mike Williamson, were very impressive. They lost a number of their key players after promotion from National League North, such as the free scoring Macauley Langstaff, but still looked really well organised and well coached.
Maybe someone to keep an eye on should we need a manager in the next couple of seasons. Hopefully not though.
I seem to remember Massey coming to us from Beaconsfield and signing as a young pro. I think he’s from Loudwater.
He never got a look in and in fairness has never quite been of the standard to play in the EFL but he’s had a really good career in the National League with Wealdstone, Braintree and Maidenhead. A really reliable centre half and skipper.
I think he’s a tree surgeon in the local area too.
Matt McClure scored a second-half equaliser for Gloucester City tonight in a 1-1 draw at high-flying Banbury United in the National League North. I seem to remember Matt McClure scoring twice in a 3-2 midweek win for Wycombe at the recently-opened New York Stadium, Rotherham.
One of my favourite games ever. The only time in our history we were in 92nd place in the league at the start.
Thought about it last Saturday when Wednesday scored in the first minute (Rotherham did that night) and (briefly) had hopes it would be a similar outcome this time round

Tom Williams?
No, he played more, and went to Peterborough.
If I recall correctly, he had one brilliant game, roasting a full back who had to get subbed off.
But was horribly average after that, and tried to do something flash in his own box, got subbed off, and dropped.
Then we got smashed in a game, and he was rumoured to be singing "I'm loving it" in the dressing room, and quickly got shipped off.
Yeah that's him.. more than 2 games, but did seem to be short lived
And didn't go to Northampton either.
Your Cyprus clue was right though!
I vaguely remember us signing a player only for him to change his mind and sign for or stay at Northampton. It was in the close season,
Chris Carruthers
He was supposed to sign for us from Northampton but he backed out to join Bristol Rovers instead
I liked Cornforth. No athlete but an excellent ball player.
Josh Parker has signed for Oxford City, joining Andre Burley and Baptiste Fischer at the Hoops.

Or has he? 🤔
‘Dangerous beliefs.’ Wycombe Wanderers Twitter is a wild wild place.
Both of those things are true

Luke O'Nien puts thru his own net.
Luke O'Nien scores an OG against Watford,he heades a Watford corner past his own keeper,LOL!!
Josh Parker had put Oxford City 1-0 up against Bath City.
Paul Smyth puts Leyton Orient 1-0 up at Barrow.
A second goal for Parker.

I don't watch strictly but just seen Tony Adams' performance...fair play to the guy!
There were two other Wycombe connections apparently. Will de Havilland was one. Forget the other one.
Alan Massey, Maidenheads captain and ex Wycombe youth teamer
Thanks @wwfcblue.

More players could do with taking a leaf out of his book

A root and branch review?
He will probably finish his career at BARKing.
