I do sometimes idly wonder what faults the pompous brigade will find in each other when all the decent posters have had enough and they need to invent new faux pas to feel superior.
Also, we held on by our, and certainly Rav's, fingernails at their place too. They should have beaten us and that was in the middle of our best run of form. They have our number. We were in control again today but are missing the moments of inspiration we always found before Christmas. They will come with a fit Kone, a midfielder as proficient as Morley was, and the return of an actual right back or two.
It was. Classic self deprecation because even I have reflected on other posts and realised I could have handled it better. As was that last one, but a bit more pointed that is “not always just me” and, sorry to point it at you too, but you ans Flymo could have done things differently and just let things lie.
I referenced the police thing because I found that fucking hilarious and ironic at the time. But as admin, you kinda are I guess.
Our last 4 games against Wigan (including today) have seen a grand total of 3 goals. I'm not sure why anyone was expecting today to be a free flowing goalfest.
Oh it was almost entirely Wigan’s fault that the game was so boring in my opinion. Worth watching their manager’s post match interview where he describes that as “a new way to get points” - he was well chuffed.
Where do people go to see the post match interviews? I don’t do X but have the Wanderers app. The interviews don’t tend to appear on there until much later in the evening.
They came for a 0-0 draw and left with it. Good luck to them. Hopefully we stuff Burton and Peterborough over the next 2 weeks and this afternoon will be forgotten about.
if I’m watching on WTV I’ll leave the live stream running for a while afterwards, you usually get to watch someone trying to edit the highlights together and sometimes you get to see the interviews.
I didnt watch today. But it's clear we aren't great at breaking teams down. Not sure our forwards line has that player to make something out of nothing in these type of games.
Peterborough are truly dreadful at the moment so hopefully we can get something out of that. I don’t hold out much hope of getting anything off Burton though, especially if we just play the exact same passing patterns for 90 minutes again.
I think everyone needs to take a step back. If we win 1-0, we laud that a "performance of complete control and preofessionalism". It didn't quite break for us today. That's 3 games in a row when I can count the number of chances we've given the opposition on one hand, accumalatively!
Yes, we should have gone a little more gung ho, but surely there are some positives to take from that? I've never seen us more comfortable than I have in the last two matches.
I was disappointed that our measured, possession based approach failed to produce the outcome that virtually everyone on here was expecting and had metaphorically put their Samaritans money on but I hope that isn’t sufficient justification for me to have to shut the fuck up.
Absolutely. Since the start of 2025 we've played 12 games in all competitions and conceded 7 goals. It might not be as exciting as it was August - November but we are still a very good team who are extremely hard to beat.
Fuck sakes. There it is again. Throw away insults calling people “the pompous brigade” (am I in that brigade and What uniform are we wearing?) about people for no reason other than to try and annoy or point score.
If I just went straight ahead and said “all you Bloomycuntychops lapping at his massive tenure” might think I was being purposely provocative . I mean, I 100% was that time but it does nothing but throw a bit of needle in for no reason.
Now, can someone please tell me how the game was, because I have Las Iguanas in an hour and Mojitos are calling.
Certainly not recently. In part because we don't have a creative, 'fit' left sided forward. Gmac's age is against him in terms of playing 2-3 times a week and Fred goes from the sublime to the indifferent often in the same game. There has also been mass upheaval these last two months and we need to find our rhythm again. Plus teams like Wigan are fighting for every point and have learnt from our previous encounters. I have no doubt with the squad we have we will find the solutions soon.
Mate, we know you're upset at Bloomfield leaving (I am too), but don't take it out on Dodds. You've got to at least give him a chance. He wasn't responsible for Blooms leaving. And he's only been in charge for 4 games, of which we haven't lost any. Your comments are so childish sometimes
Dull maybe but he seems to be growing in confidence in his interviews. Can’t judge the content about the game itself as I’m away but he comes across as honest and open.
Without scrolling back about 16 pages, do we know why Phil isn’t interviewing for WTV?
Yes Dodds deserves a chance and I am sure he will guide us to the Championship. Today was one of those games but we didn’t lose and none of the top teams have won yet this weekend.
Only just came on after full time, as I expected on here.
Wigan came for a point and got it. We we're excellent Tuesday, today is all doom and gloom... because of Wigan !
Tbh, I'm done on here, it's now officially worst than Facebook, even they are taking the piss saying "whatever you do don't look on gasroom"
There's 6 or 7 of you that can't move on, you all want the new manager to fail because he's not the old manager. Just try and grow up, or just go and support Luton.
I don’t know where all this negativity comes from. Against the club and individuals. We need to grasp that at this time with our league position we are the big team. Teams will come and try to not lose. We did that for years, we know it’s not pretty, we know it can pay off. I don’t care if you are Wycombe or Liverpool if a team sets up to not lose it’s hard. And if they remain largely error free it’s even harder. We needed a moment of magic or an error. We got neither. It’s not much harder than that so why some of the wider arguments are being dragged up again is a mystery.

No worries chief, just glad I got the joke.

Sorry. Grow the fuck up. Bit late in my case.

I like the Brazilian curry thing they do there, it’s called Moqueca or something like that. I imagine it’s extremely inauthentic but it tastes good.

The guy who played on the right wing for them in the first half looked pretty decent and very positive. I was glad to see him go off at HT.
BTW - Simons is some player.

Dodds post match interview.
Bit dull.

The club tweeted earlier today that Phil was on "international duties" today. Probably a tongue in cheek way of saying he's on holiday.

Bye
I'm sure he mentioned on comms last week he was needed elsewhere today.

We are so lucky to be Wycombe fans.
Well said apart from you leaving. Reconsider.
