I don’t really understand what we were trying to do today. Lots of crisp passing around at the back then long punts to the small forwards. Kone comes on and we stop going long…
I don’t like so many subs in succession either, it seems we lost momentum adjusting, just to change it again when it starts to work.
We could have done with a bit of old fashioned blood and thunder encouragement from the touchline too.
Wigan came to stifle and they succeeded. They were well drilled and streetwise. It wasn't for a lack of effort from Wycombe, just a little short of coherence as an attacking force.
I completely agree, and don't really understand some of the responses on here.
Yes, it was a fairly dull game, and yes, we didn't play with enough fluency.
If their keeper doesn't make a superb save after 3 minutes or Fred's late strike nestled in the bottom corner then this thread would be a completely different sight.
Fuck me. I thought I was the reason old debates and heated arguments keep coming up and peoples toys get thrown out the pram. What even is the point of me if you lot do it without me.
I just realised that’s me trying to to police what people say again isn’t it? Fuckity shit. Sorry Dr.
As you were all. Flymofrank, go back to mentioning Blooms knowing it’s going to piss off some posters. Congo, you go back to responding in just as childish playground ways with immature phallic references about Rice so another thread descends to utter bullshittery because no one is adult enough to think “balls, shouldn’t have even mentioned it”.
I’ll back the fuck away now because everyone else’s way was much better because I’m not even Mod, so what do I know.
No. The mentioning of someone that is always going to inflame other people. And those people rising to that bait and throwing around other insults to score points.
I’ve spent 6 hours in a pool being half drowned by my own children and wanted to hear about the game. And that’s the BS I got.
13 points from our last 7 games, since the defeat to Huddersfield. That works out at 1.86 PPG.
1.86PPG for the remainder of the season would see us finish on 90 points.
It's not been great recently, but we probably only need a slight improvement (one or two draws converted into wins) to finish on more than 90 points, which would almost certainly result in promotion.
We've lost 4 games all season, and haven't lost a single game by more than 1 goal.
Today wasn't an exciting game, but maybe that's because Wigan defended well? Surely no one would trade our position now for the likes of Huddersfield or Stockport?
We have a really tricky run-in. It would be nice if the fanbase went into that run-in with a sense of unity.
Football can be dull, it happens. I recall the Bolton at home game being pretty boring. And I've watched enough dull wycombe games over the years. It happens.

Absolute grueller. If that’s data driven, Egil Olsen was right all along.
Has anyone criticised Dodds in this thread?
Would anyone dispute that the game today was boring?
No, and just @flymofrank
On the flip side, I just watched the Wigan manager interview and it was one of the weirdest I've ever seen. I'm glad I'm not a Wigan fan.
Wigan have played 31, scored 28 and conceded 31.
Anyone calling us boring needs to take a look at them!
Dodds interview was much better.
That was utterly awful. No heart desire guile guts risk. Got what we deserved.

Shhhhh
It was a game for Akinfenwa
Mind you every game would be a game for Akinfenwa
I am behind him - I want us to win. But I will criticize when we play dull, uninspiring football. That does not mean I need to grow up.

I hate to tell you this but he's not coming back.

It's a funny old game.
I never understand this. If you're fit enough to be on the bench, you need to be fit enough to play at your best.
Move on etc

Everyone needs to grow the fuck up,yeah?
It will be a no go zone after an actual defeat...which would only be our 5th of the season in the league!
6 wins in 16.
5 draws out of the 8 home games and 8 goals.
As someone mentioned, Wigan don't concede many, and we aren't scoring many at home. Unsure why such an expectation to win?
I might take a look at the Facebook group for more considered takes.
People need to grow up because we found the game boring? Are we supposed to just leap with enthusiasm after every 0-0?
Everyone is disappointed at today.
Not everyone is having little scuffles.
Well not yet anyway, give it a few more hours.
Not an expectation to win, an expectation for it not to be so dull
Oh fuck.

To be fair, I thought your previous post was tongue in cheek.

That was really boring and the ref just played into their hands.
The real sad thing is we didn’t know how to break them down and played the ball around at the back far to much.
Not our best performance but at least Stockport and Huddersfield both came unstuck.
