Two huge games this week. 2 wins in our last 7 games now, and both were late, late winners (Mansfield and Barnsley) against teams who have some of the worst form in the league.
6 points at AP this week would go some way to allay concerns and hopefully put this forum back on track too.
Don’t think there is any chance Berry will come straight into the starting eleven or Lowry play out of position on the right. Assuming Kone out my team is:
Norris
Grimmer, Low, Taylor, Harvie
Simons, Scowen, Humphreys
Onyedinma, Udoh, Lubala
With hopefully Berry and Lowry on bench.
PS Any team with Kone in it excites the hell out of me too.
Probably a good game to take Bradley out for though. More of a rotation than an old style dropping. And it is difficult to leave Taylor out after his impact early season.
Hopefully between him and surely Simons coming in, we'll have a bit more silk on the ball.
Fred is a coaches nightmare I would imagine. Lovely guy. Such a brilliant player. Just don’t know if he’s going to be unplayable or anonymous. The Fred from Shrewsbury away is a championship player and the first name on the team sheet. Some of his other performances… mneh.
Harsh on Bradley, yes, but we were a superb team with Taylor and Low at CB. Bradley has been brilliant, but Taylor offers us so much more when it comes to bringing the ball forward. I'd be reverting back to the partnership of Taylor and Low as first choice, with Bradley coming in for the games where we're expecting a real scrap.
With you on this @Chris - I’m definitely not that fussed about things at present, which feels quite mad considering the position we’re in, but there’s no point in trying to fake it / fight it.
Yep, not that fussed, feel disconnected. That said this time tomorrow night I will have paid my money and be standing at the back of the main stand cold, kicking every ball and desperate for three points. Hey ho!
It wasn't that long ago a lot of us really feared the Morley / Taylor return to their parent clubs.
So now we've got Taylor back we should make the most of him. Bradley can still play certain games. And a midweeker when he's put a good shift in at the weekend feels a good place to rotate.
Agreed on both points but, for the reasons adduced by @Malone and @HolmerBlue in the case of the Bradley/Taylor rotation, I think it would be the right decision.
Fred has had several disappointing games recently and I’d like to see Kodua get a run out in a forward position. I was a bit upset by the suggestion by one of our Gasroom colleagues on Saturday that Kodua is not good enough. I hope he will be given the opportunity to demonstrate just how good he is.
Chris Martin will be a handful for Bristol Rovers- I'd say Sonny would be best equipped to handle him after the way he put Eaves in his pocket the other week
Aah, on reflection it was the match in which Sonny got the rescinded red card. I can’t keep up. We are lucky to have three muscular central defenders (plus a 6’5” goalkeeper).
The other week I was visiting a friend who lives in a block of flats. We went to go out for a drink and I got in the lifts. He stood there looking at me in an odd way, and then I realised he lives on the ground floor.
Before she went to the Co-op the other day, mrs micra asked me if I wanted her to get Emily. Our next door neighbour (Emily) is a critical care nurse so I was bemused. Turned out she meant Elmlea - a cream substitute which we’ve taken to recently.
The most extreme example of the challenged hearing phenomenon was a few years ago when I asked mrs m to get some gaffer tape and, bless her cotton socks, she came home with a packet of jaffa cakes.
I’ve nothing to add re the Crawley match except to ask @Blue_since_1990 what he meant by the comment above. Tried and failed to put the quote at the end of this post. Sorry.

I had to google what the old ones looked like, but they seem vaguely familiar

Very harsh on Bradley and I would rest Fred.
The Doddinator already up to 87th out of 92 for tenure, just 15 days into the job. Football, eh?
Also, does anyone else find this crazy?
2023/24: Birmingham sack Eustace while in 6th and end up relegated.
2024/25: Eustace voluntarily leaves Blackburn in the playoff places and goes to a relegation fight with Derby.
Is there some kind of cosmic ban on Eustace being allowed to see a promotion fight through?

Taking someone out for the greater good of the team function isn't harsh (although I would be terrified to tell Bradley he's out).

Yes I think I agree with this, as great as Bradley has been, one of the main reasons we are 2nd in the league is because of Low and Taylor

There’s a fuss shortage , I’m told I’m a nightmare to sit next to because not only do I kick every ball but I also lean in the direction of play .
At my senior age I’ve just about controlled the kicking, it’s the involuntary flick headers I can’t stop!

Hopefully he doesn't cause us any trouble tonight
Or there could be a few yellows.
The (data) scientist will be all over it
Wasn’t the main conflict between Joe Low and Tom Eaves resulting in a bloody nose for Joe or was that some other great hulk?

He's prone to having A Rush of Blood to the Head
Nope again, I'm afraid, @micra
Sonny was given the red card, later rescinded, in the away game at Cambridge.
Joe Low got his blooded nose from Eaves in the home game to Northampton.
Edit. Oops my bad, I misread what you had written. I'm a fool.
Thanks @Twizz. I’m settling into my role as “confused High Wycombe” quite well.

Great story, if a little disturbing 😳!
