But it's way too early to talk about "ifs" for a scenario that is a tier down from where we sit.
None of the teams below us would swap for our position as we stand.
It really is all to play for still.
Start Simons (and hopefully get the gasroom realising there's no second M or even a D in there), get a right back back and hopefully Kone isn't this year's Sido from the Southend season...already ruled out for the season but no-one's told us yet!
So being fickle makes you vermin ? well I can't quite see the similarity myself but then that;s me . I would suggest those who like to use such a strong term would not say it to someones face and reserve it for the safety of being behind a keyboard . Don't get me wrong the act of being fickle is not usually regarded as a positive trait but vermin? I have to day it appears all football clubs are full of said vermin . Having viewed many forums I feel confident that it is far from unique to the Wycombe fan base .
It’s all about momentum. And today again showed that ours is not just slowing it’s stuck. So many underperforming players need to be getting back to somewhere near their best or even their ‘good enough’. Set pieces we look lost at. We have giants in the team and can’t get a cross in to challenge a defence. Today was on the back of a Cambridge performance we deserved to lose.
Don't know if you missed @Chris's post earlier, but don't take the "vermin" thing to heart - it's a gasroom tradition, most famously used by @oilysailor
It's definitely slowed up for sure, and have definitely noticed that the huge lead over 7th is now 10 points. But that's still a big margin and every chance we can find a solution going forward.
We've had a Morley shaped hole for a while now, but just in those 10mins Simons had it looks like we could have found the answer.
It's funny when we were playing 'champagne football' earlier in the season a lot on here thought we weren't and most of our vanquished opponents stated we would be nowhere near the top by Christmas. When its a draw that brings out the doomed laden clang of @trevor we must be doing something right.
Very harsh regarding the Cambridge performance. We weren't playing especially well, but were comfortably in control until the red card. Was tough going after that, but we were well worth a point. Would likely have won without the incorrect sending off.
McCleary looks and sounds properly pissed off in the post match interview. Brightens up a bit when his 600th appearance (hats off btw) is mentioned but seems to be thoroughly mardy after that draw.
I don't believe I have re written history . The games you mention were when bloomfield was sniffing around for alternative employment . This was bound to have had a negative effect on his management and the players performances . Let me be more precise for you . Up until the end of Novemeber then rather than Christamas. After Christmas Grace said they were going to "tweak" things as teams (the ones you have mentioned ) had sat deep against us , This "tweak" was a noticable shift to knocking the ball over the top not playing from the back and by passing midfield . It is a new occurance since Christmas and it has been deliberatley installed . I do not think it is unreasonable to have assumed that Dodds would look at the whole season to judge what was to be done and not just what we have done since Christmas under Grace . Is it too soon to write the guy off ? of course it is . Is it a little worrying that we appear to be Grace since Christmas rather than Bloomfield before his head was turned (starting at the time of the Covenrty interview ) You bet it is . I think we will know a lot more after this weeks games , Vermin over and out .
I think you are correct . Let is hope Dodds sees this and we can revert to something more remenisent of earlier in the season . The over the top stuff is only going to suit a fit Vokes ,even Kone would have struggled to shine today . Udoh did brilliantly considering the way we played and the lack of balls to feet .
I have been. It’s unfair to get into the specifics and I’m not betraying confidences but he was forced out the club he loves and he is now being abused for that.
Thanks for the reply. If I may: forced out how? There are enough people here that claim to be ITK that I don't see how this could link back to one individual.
For what it's worth I believe this story, but it's hard to be angry at Rice et al without knowing what I'm actually meant to be angry about.
And to be clear - as my previous posts show - I still love Bloomfield and have all the respect in the world for his 20 years of service here.
I simply do not believe it is as simple as your source claims .I suspect the informant to be politically pro Bloomfield , anti change and anti Rice . Someone's opinion is also not evidence. It is an opinion .
Assel Nussipkozhanova (Whose surname is like a bag of Scrabble tiles falling downstairs) is Kazakhstan's top fashion designer. I expect her clean silhouettes to be WWFC's in-house style by 2030.
It was made clear to Bloomfield as soon as the new ownership came in that his job was on the line, even after his impressive start to the season. He was not supported by the ownership group in any way shape or form, and indeed undermined. He had no choice but to look for other opportunities. Imagine being forced out of a club you love and then having people question his loyalty!

Leahy and Scowen do not have the breadth of passing in midfield to unlock doors so I’m not surprised we’ve gone more direct.
Simons little cameo was brilliant. Two excellent balls straight out to the winger to move us forward at pace. Brilliant track back and tackle.
I also think Taylor has been a massive loss as he really brings the ball out well.
Skura has been solid but he is no Grimmer or Pattenden.
Morley, Taylor, Jack/Jasper and Kone have been big losses and why our form has dipped.
Im sure if we get three of those back in the team plus Simons we will be fine.
COYB!

Well I guess I must just be one of those rats your refer to 🤔
It's a conundrum in centre defence isn't it!
Bradley has had a run of really strong, physical performances, but we know Taylor is capable of excellence and is a ball player.
Low is non negotiable as well you'd think.
In a way that red Bradley got looked to have solved the problem - in it gave us a reason to bring Taylor in!
Oh well, better to have 3 superb defenders than only 1!
(I won't even mention Anders, as we don't know how good he is yet!)

Taylor has to start and that’s tough on Sonny.
also, Scowen is not a dead ball specialist and he needs to hand that over to someone else for corners. Leahys haven’t been much better.
Lots to work on but I think we will be fine.

Yes. That and not reading things that have been explained to you several times.

Agree re. Taylor - that partnership + Simons in front could restore the axis we had for the first few months of the season

I so wish you - and others - really knew what happened with Bloomfield.

Post of the year.
Although I think it's something to do with the money we can spend this year in preparation for next year.
Then tell everyone?
I have been. It’s unfair to get into the specifics and I’m not betraying confidences but he was forced out the club he loves and he is now being abused for that.
Good. Absolutely no one should be happy with a point today.

Dan wanted to go sports casual with the HUGO brand aimed at the Gen Z crowd. Matt preferred BOSS with its 'classic with a twist' ethic.
This couldn't end well.

As long as we don't sign her. Imagine the ballache it would be getting that on the back of a shirt.
Nussy?
Thank God we did not lose.

I will happily share exactly what I know by phone or in person but not in a public forum
