Dodds seems like a massive pushover. Not cut out for management. Quite obvious in all of his interviews. “This is the bit I don’t like” when talking to Phil Catchpole. Eh? What a load of nonsense. How many of the other competent managers in the league would come out with claptrap like that?
As saw another bit where he said he actually enjoys making the difficult decisions, but will ensure players know why they're not playing. Which seems an ideal way of managing.
I don't get to go to many games, sadly the ones I do get to I seem to bring us nothing but uninspiring results !!
Today - I thought we looked bright for the first 25 minutes.
Their goal was an amazing strike, I was right behind it and it was beautifully struck.
We responded well with some good intensity.
Once the equaliser came which wax very well finished, the game descended into one big head tennis competition.
Our insistence in just lumping it down the channels for one of our big forwards to try and catch up with and then out fight 2 defenders was baffling.
We kept on, time after time doing this with no positive results.
The same with the throw ins down the right hand side, I lost count how many times Fred had a defender in front and behind him and yet the throw in was still launched in his direction. Nothing good could come or did cone from this.
Our forwards looked shot after 60 minutes.
Substitutes we're too little too late.
When the ball was played on the floor we looked effective, such as the glaring chance with the last kick.
Was very impressed with Norris, good in the air, authoritative, not the best distributor however we won't have any scary moments with him behind the sticks.
The stand out player for me in the games i have seen this year was Caleb Taylor. And i feel we missed his drive and forward thrust.
Thought Humphreys looked good when the ball was on the floor.
Would rather see McCleary come on with 20minutes to go to make a big impact on the game rather than start when all the defenders are fresh. He's a great weapon to keep in the armoury.
Today was not a point gained, it was truly 2 points lost.
Crawley fought well, and i thought deserved a point as we weren't savvy and clever enough to actually think about the game. We got caught in the headlights of just a continuous game of head tennis.
I actually came away from the game really annoyed - I appreciate I don't really have the right to be annoyed as I'm not a regular attendee nowdays, however it's so very annoying when we just play 70 minutes of hoof ball. And the start had been so promising.
I posted in the first video of him arriving that he gave the wrong impression by hugging everyone even though he’d never met them. He needs to be able to make harsh decisions and let people know who is in charge. I got 10 downward thumbs for that post, I look forward to more
Who do you think is pushing him over? The team (playing his mates?) Or is Dan telling him what to...which would be strange as he's not playing his signings. I'm not sure what you mean.
What he actually said was: "It's the bit that I actually enjoy doing, no offence to to you [cheeky smile at Phil, who laughs back]. It's the bit that I actually really enjoy doing, in terms of just being on the grass with the players and trying to help them improve."
Confidence has to be an issue. We were champagne football for much of the season. Slick passing, flicks and tricks. Now we are a million miles away from it. Nervous, error prone, risk averse. Fred is an attack killer consistently wanting to check back instead of rampaging down the line. He gets lost inside and the shape falls apart. GMac went missing for most of the second half too but some of that was down the Crawley of course.
Signing 12 players is bound to cause disruption. Having a new coach the same. Losing a club icon similar. So we should not be surprised the wheels have come off.
It’s going to take weeks for new players and coaches to settle down. To me that says it all. If we hang on to play offs we might have a second wind. Recent performances suggest it’s going to be a horrid decline.
I wasn’t at the game but ffs some massive over reactions on here, twitter and wouldn’t want to look at facebook . New manager loads of new signings and quite a few important injuries so let’s just chill and see what happens. Maybe the football isn’t great at this time but we have the players to change that have some patience .
I hear you . You have to agree though that there isn't much point of signing all of those players if they don't play really is there? Westgaard looked like he was starting to get up to pace last week , Lowry looked excellent . They didn't even travel . Simons got 8 minutes . God only knows what is happening with the rest . What worries me is I looked at that starting eleven and I thought hoofball . We have be reverting back to this since the new year and it is certainly what we got today . Grace said they were making tweaks because teams were setting up against us in a low block . His answer to that was to go over the top . We have been doing it for weeks now . I really fear for us . We have not been the team from earlier in the season for a long time . Dodds' has said he will not change much . I think he needs to change a lot ! Today was not on him . Today was just a continuation of what we have seen since Christamas . The warning signs have been there for weeks .
Disappointing result and by the sounds of it performance today. But some big overeactions. This was Dodds's first league match, so way too early to be making any sort of judgement. I am concerned about a number of new signings seemingly not being fit enough to even make the bench, but that's not Dodds doing and if he doesn't feel they're ready, it shows he is brave enough to make the call of leaving them out of the squad.
Also, whilst in general performances haven't been great recently, Barnsley the other week was one of our best of the season. We left it late, but I thought we were superb that night. Losing Kone is huge for us, so let's hope he's back soon.

2 wins and nobody will give a toss what he said in a welcome interview that most people didn't watch and those who did have forgotten.
No need to over exaggerate. He'll be judged on results, and not just the first two or three.
That's a very swift assessment.
Which bit was he talking about not liking?
As saw another bit where he said he actually enjoys making the difficult decisions, but will ensure players know why they're not playing. Which seems an ideal way of managing.
Talk is cheap. Actions (and his body language) suggest he isn’t capable of difficult decisions, exemplified by his choice of matchday squad today.
You think Bolton were asking for more than £1.5m?

There were a couple of figures doing the rounds. 500k and over 2m
It seems unlikely we'd have been trying to pay a 100k loan fee if it was the former, so it suggests the fee was huge.
Or the data suggests he wasn't a good buy. Which would feel very worrying versus the visual!
He said he didn’t like the media stuff and would rather be out coaching.
It’s an extraordinary thing to pick him up on.

Bloody hell, it's like Chernobyl here

Mike Dodds - “I don’t want to make big changes and spoil the work that has gone before”
Wycombe fans - “Hear Hear, that’s great etc etc”
Mike Dodds doesn’t make big changes in his FIRST league game
Wycombe vermin fans “ why has he not put all 12 new signings in the squad, blah blah blah”
So utterly predictable and grim
dormant since the 80's?
Fair assessment. One nitpick. Throw ins on the right would have been to Gmac. Fred was on the left. Easy mistake. They have similar hair styles.
Quite possibly

But great spin 👏

Sorry, didn't realise @floyd had already made this correction
When / if we lose a 5th league game of the season, it definitely will be worth giving this place a day or 2...
The bedwetters have risen up and are threatening to take over
Hope we win on Tuesday or we might all drown in a tsunami of urine
I'd say 'Group hug' but hugging is a sign of weakness.
(Not to be condused with Hygge, if our Danes are reading this. And they probably are as they have fuck all else to do)
Wow, "if" we hang on to the playoffs!
We're still in the top 2 for now, so let's not overreact too much just yet.
We've got 2 home games in 5 days coming. We can react after those.
Didn't look like a promotion chasing team today.
I was amazed we didn’t start making subs from the 60 minute mark, thought the game was crying out for something to freshen things up.
Still could have nicked it at the end though, feel like we need something like that to get a bit of momentum going again.
Simmons has to start on Tuesday, was very impressed with his cameo. Personally I’d like to see Kodua and Taylor in too.

It really would be a Vesuvius eruption!
They signed Randel fir a reported 1.2m, it's not a shock they would want in excess of 1.5 from a title chasing team.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Dan and Eduard are at the wheel. I'm sure they know what they're doing.
