A lot of these posts are very similar to the ones I was reading from Oxfords fans about the sacking of Des Buckingham a few weeks ago. How things have changed there!
This is a painful moment but hopefully the club can move forward in a positive direction once all is said and done.
I agree with @flymofrank - I have no doubt that there are people here with reliable inside knowledge, but also people here who are spouting nonsense. And I have absolutely no way of knowing who falls into which camp without people at least offering some evidence when they say things. Therefore, it's hard to trust anyone who is speaking as if they are ITK
Whatever is or is not said post departure I can’t see Matt saying anything negative about our club and won’t give much away. More likely he will talk about the opportunity to get them back to the premier league with a strong squad etc
I love the irony of you, who has been sometimes been accused of relaying non factual information as fact, being told that you're wrong because something else, that hasn't come out as fact, is actually fact!
Yes that’s all very well but the spending money on infrastructure if you’ve got ample money to do so is the easy stuff isn’t it?
Moulding a football team together to compete from promotion is the much harder thing and we’re about to lose the bloke who made all of that happen.
And of course we’ve no certainty that we’re about to get an “upgrade on Matt Bloomfield” in the same way that Alan Smith didn’t turn out to be an upgrade on Martin O’Neill.
At the end of the day, does it really matter? However this opportunity came about, he's got it and he deserves to do well. As others have said, Wycombe Wanderers will continue to exist.
Intrigued to see if there are protests at the next game. Given how high the threshold seems to be for Wycombe fans to do that. If people are that unhappy, I'm sure they'll voice it.
Genuinely gutted for you guys if as now looks certain Bloomfield goes to Luton and I really hope it doesn’t derail your promotion prospects. Losing a manager, certainly a successful one is always a risk for most clubs as bigger fish with bigger purses and prospects come fishing but as one door closes another opens and to be fair to your new owners they seem to have invested heavily into the club and want to dispense with the past and set their own agenda and profile. The same happened with us when Sharon came in, she dispensed with all our old staff and structure, much to the annoyance of most fans at the time and implemented her own people. It was broadly successful with Evatt getting promotion in her and his first year. It’s obviously less successful now and if you need a replacement for Matt I’m sure most of us would be happy to drive him here, probably next door to Sharon then she can keep her “friendship” with him going? Anyway, this might be a turning point for the good so like others on here have said, consider the Wycombe cup half full and you won’t go far wrong. 😁
Football is a fickle game. 12 months ago I was hoping that Rob would put Matt out of his obvious misery by relieving him of the manager's job. I didn't want him gone because of the results I wanted him gone as it looked like it was killing him in the interviews following another abject performance and result. Roll forward today and I am gutted to see him go. But that's football. The only consistent is us idiots.
Well this season has had it all so far, success on the pitch, drama off it. I'm sad about whats happening, I don't want Matt to leave, once a legend, always a legend but if something feels right for him and his family then he has to listen to that calling. Matt's stock has never been higher and he's riding the wave as much as we have been towards the top of the table.
I can only wish him all the success in the future, I hope that we don't forget the years he played for us and stuck by us through thick & thin and I hold him in higher regard than GA (who is in my Top 3 people ever to have been a part of WWFC). He will be missed, we'll have to expect some short-term uncertainty & potentially some performances that we aren't used to after the high standard that Matt has left us with. However history has taught us that we are always a club that recovers to whatever is thrown at it. Sometimes it takes a while, sometimes when we almost drop out of the EFL or go bust, but we bounce back, stronger, more together and the community of this club will never die.

As someone with media links I’d have thought you’d understand about not identifying sources.
It doesn’t matter to me whether you believe it or not. I’d hope to have a touch of credibility as I don’t ever do ‘hot exclusive’ or ‘trusted source’ stuff on here, but this is pretty big stuff.
If you think I’m just talking bollocks for attention that’s absolutely fine. We’ll be talking about something else next week - the world moves on. But Rice and Vyshnyakov aren’t the sort of people I’d ever trust to do the decent thing.
That aside, this rather sad news probably works out best for all involved.
FWIW I don't think anyone (@flymofrank included) is asking you or others to give away your sources. I think they're just hoping for a bit more detail and substance than "this is pretty big stuff".
There won't be, of course. People will rant away on here until they burn themselves out, then move on and we'll probably be fine. Hey, we might even still get promoted...

You don't sack a club legend when you're top of the league. You gently steer him towards 'better' opportunities elsewhere.
Again, I wait to be enlightened. There are ways of sharing that insider knowledge without throwing sources under the bus.
Because they need the national press to all get there and set up a huge installation in their press room.

If the board are as ruthless as some would have us believe, I don't think they'd have thought twice about doing that.

FACT!
Well I think if you read between the lines the info is all there for you. This isn’t the Sunday Sport.

Point of order @aloysius - I have never ever called for Matt Bloomfield to be sacked.

I can’t shake the feeling the ownership are more interested in a successful academy than success on the pitch.

They've just spent upwards of £1million on first team signings...

Probably a fair bit more than that across the last 3 windows, plus wages
But they're only interested in the academy!
Humphries recall and sent to luton next?
Blooms did a great job to get us in the mix with Birmingham and Wrexham, but we can't ignore the investment of the last 12 months.
The only way a small club like Wycombe can be financially viable long term is to have a successful academy.
