Bidding war starting and it's not even the end of the first week of January... He's definitely going, isn't he? Promotion hopes going up in a puff of smoke.
If we lose Kone too, I'd start to worry about whether that buffer of points to 7th is even enough... I'm confident in Blooms to pull some rabbits out of the hat, but it could hardly have been a worse start to the window!
Definitely too mad sadly, unless he was somehow bought by a Prem team. He's Championship ready, so he'll be bought by someone who wants to start him every week imo.
I wish there was an easy way of seeing which players we were most worried about losing in the January window historically. A few years back it was Forino and Anis. I imagine a few years prior it was probably the likes of Gapey we were worried about losing. Football is a funny old game.
It does feel from all the noise that despite all the success so far there is a bit of a divide between the leadership team in post and the new ownership
He is from Cardiff, never underestimate the parochial rivalry between Cardiff and Swansea - it is possible that he would prefer to steer clear of the far reaches of the M4
For some strange reason, when I read that I got the Gavin & Stacey scene where they are talking about the different M4 services in my head! Do you think he's well customed to these too when he goes on International Duty or just home to see family?
The criticism from Andrew Howard may be justified, but he's jumping the gun a bit as far as I'm concerned. We've always been a club who tend to bring in players late in the window rather than early. Looking at the players we're being linked with, they look to be (as with Low for us) players that clubs would be keen to keep hold of, rather than looking to get rid of in a hurry. I'd rather we bought in the right players at the end of January, than rush into signing players now. It's not as if there's any glaring gaps in the squad that we desperately need to fill now, it's more a case of hopefully strengthening the existing squad.
If anybody truly believes that Andrew Howard is simply "assuming" anything then I'm afraid their heads are truly buried in the sand. Andrew Howard will know exactly what is going on

really hope he is at least with us for the game on Tuesday otherwise we are in real trouble
Get the big Danish bloke and Lloyd Jones in pronto pls

750K for a player out of contract in the summer is probably too good to turn down.
I know Blooms has some irons in the fire, hopefully one or two of them will appear before Tuesday.
Will expect him to play on Tuesday, but with an FA cup game after that, maybe he'll be left out for all reasons!
Just needs a similar bidding war for Kone and we'll definitely be glad of that wad of points down to 7th.
Matching the imperious aerial strength of Taylor and Low has to be absolutely critical doesn't it?
Aside from those 2 we're not exactly behemoths in the air.
Too mad to wonder if anyone might buy him as a development project and loan him straight back?

Yep, it was a clutching at straws attempt.
All depends on the terms really, once the inevitability that we can't really be turning down up to 1m for a defender in league 1.
It's very hard to moan at a player if someone is offering maybe 3 times his current wage;
January is going to be about staying in touch with the top two while we re-organize.
Then undefeated from February to May. Or defeat to Reading in the play-offs.
Defeat to Bolton with an Aaron Morley winner, anyone...?

I am calm. To quote every Spanish coach ever: "We will suffer, it is normal".
But I expect us to find a way to remain relevant, even if we slip behind.
Both Swansea and Plymouth could swap positions with us if we get promoted, if I was Low, I’d stay.
If one of the top 7 or 8 came calling then that’s a different matter.
If he wants to go, then that’s entirely different. I’m not sure it’s a foregone conclusion.
I would hope the club have said, stay with us, get us up and then make your mind up - we won’t stand in your way in 5 months time.
A snipe from the sidelines by Andrew Howard this morning. Is there something in this, or just disappointment that he's no longer involved?
Plymouth I definitely thought similar to you, rock bottom . Plus a real outlier with their location in the country.
But Swansea are mid table so would take a huge bust to go down. Ex Prem, decent sized secure champs club.
Plus he's from South Wales so it could be a really attractive offer.

If we do not get the promotion to the Championship I was promised and fully expected when the season kicked off, I will tear up my subscription.

Very strong words indeed by an ice cream salesman completely out of his depth when in charge of recruiting players for Wycombe.
Hear hear to the above. Howard should remember what they say about “assuming” and stick to cars
And ice cream

He's an ice cream man, maybe leave the football to football people
It makes an "ass" out of "you" and "ming"?
I’m sure the manager and players won’t be waving the white flag with half the season remaining so why the pessimism?
