I don't think he'd want to drop to L1 when he's making occasional sub appearances in the Prem. Coming back here one day if he'd be a regular wouldn't be a problem but I also don't think Kone is going anywhere soon, hope not anyway.
Their fans are lambasting him. They will surely sign a striker in January and when they do he won’t get a look in. Bottom 8 championship is probably his level, but they might value 3-4 months in L1 at a familiar club with a proven track record with one of their existing loanees to reboot his confidence. I wouldn’t say it’s extraordinary in that context. Normally, I’d agree.
He's definitely in an odd position there isn't he? Probably a lower championship / upper league 1 sort of player, but just been promoted beyond his level and surviving on a few min cameos.
With first place in League One, Wycombe Wanderers have a direct course towards the Championship, and now they want a Danish profile on the journey.
Tipsbladet can reveal that the English club has bid for Anders Hagelskjær, just as Pafos FC from Cyprus have also made a bid for him, but unlike the Cypriot club, Wycombe Wanderers have not yet been rejected.
The negotiations are ongoing, and the question is whether Wycombe Wanderers have more luck, as Molde clearly does not want to part with its Danish profile without being paid well.
According to Tipsbladet's information, Anders Hagelskjær, who won the cup with Molde last year, is himself ready to leave the club in search of the first football experience of his career outside of Scandinavia.
The 27-year-old Dane joined the Norwegian big club Molde from AaB two years ago, and here he has established himself as an important card in the team, where in a little over a month will meet Shamrock Rovers in the 1/16 finals in the Conference League .
In the past two seasons, Anders Hagelskjær has played a total of 72 games for Molde, and is therefore a sure name on the team card, which Molde has been forced to consider, whether they want to let go.
The contract in Molde runs for another two years, but Wycombe Wanderers, who have acquired new ownership, are already trying to buy Anders Hagelskjær off.
Remarkable to see that Molde paid Aalborg €675,000 for Hagelskjær just under two years ago.
One can only assume his reputation has only been enhanced since, with 70 odd first team appearances under his belt including some in the UEFA Conference League.
So you’d have to wonder what kind of money we would have to put down to secure his signature.
If this turns out to be true, you’d also wonder if this sees us turn a corner in terms of the type of recruitment we see going forward from the more traditional model to the kind Dan Rice was brought in to head up. Albeit, that is pure speculation on my part.

Swansea manager seems to have ruled himself out of the West Brom job, so the Joe Low worries are very real.

HNY all COYB
And a Happy New Year to you and yours @NorsQuarters.
Hope life continues to treat you well and that we might hear as much from you in future as we used to four or five years ago.
I really can’t see Nathan Jones letting him come to us. Lloyd Jones also seems to be pretty close to Nathan as he was also with him at Luton etc.
If we lose Kone then I wonder if Ipswich would give us AAH2.0 back on loan to get his confidence back
Would AAH2.0 want to come back though?
I mean, we play very differently to the GA years now, and he would get a lot more “ball to feet” service in the MB era, which would suit him better.
But I think his time here was possibly a frustrating one for him.

It wasn't a style thing, we just didn't pick him and someone came along who was keen to give him that time, think we did well with the sell on.
A rotation finisher in the Prem is not going to drop down to any club in Div1.

A top of league 1 loan wouldn't be a mad idea.
If wiki is up to date, it looks like he's made 9 appearances by the half way point of the season.
Not sure the equivalent of say 2-3 x90min time scales on the pitch is enough, especially if they sign anyone else.
It's been rumoured that the PNLs are after AAH2.0
Of course AAH2 isn’t Prem quality but that doesn’t mean he or perhaps more importantly his agent would let him drop two divisions
Depends if he's actually on Prem money and wether Ipswich would subsidise some of it to get him game time/ off the squad list.
It's like keep using our list of players to go for!
Can't wait until we switch with them in the summer!
If they bring a striker or 2 in and he won't get near the bench, then a few months at the top of league 1 could be a brilliant idea.
Do well here, and it unlocks potential championship suitors in the summer.
We are in negotiations with Molde for Anders Hagelskjær. He’s a 27-year-old left-footed centre-back.

That’s utterly bizarre but I love it.
Yesss, we're going Scandi. Very FM.

Would this be the first ever Wycombe player with a
æ
in their name?Sebastian Svärd had an ä but no æ
Also he didn’t play a game
I'm glad you remembered his name, it was driving me mad.
Apparently we're in advanced talks for Imray

It's ok. As long as the fee is 'undisclosed' we can still be Little Wycombe.
