Harborough Town have sold their first allocation of tickets for Reading, almost 2,000, and have requested more. There is a possibility that that they will outnumber the home fans. The Bees average 369 in the Southern Premier Central.
Paid a first visit to Ebbsfleet, to see them play Solihull. Anthony Stewart was making his debut for the 'Fleet today.
Solihull down to 10 men after 5 minutes, for a very harsh red card for a high boot. Back to 10 a side just before HT, when the ref gave another harsh red, 0-0 at half time.
A mad second half, when Solihull scored 6 (six) without reply. The opener is being given as a Stewart OG, Wilkinson scored a hat-trick, but the star was Adu-Poku, who played wide right up front, scored one and was heavily involved in most of their good play.
The locals are noticing Skura no longer being a part of their defence, and seemed surprised we'd loaned him out down to the Nat League.
No comments so far on England v Republic Of Ireland . Micky mouse trophy game. Had some lunchtime beers and wine with dinner and fell asleep for the last ten minutes of the first half. I have never fallen asleep watching a televised game ever. Whilst composing this Kane, Gordon and Gallagher have scored, 3 ~ 0 to England. However would prefer to be watching the chairboys live instead of living with these never ending International breaks.
Kane’s club vs country comments - it’s probably different for a professional footballer than it is for a supporter, but which camp are we in? Club for me.
I suppose it’s because of the recent discussions about international weekends. Naturally, it can be solved by blocking out weekends rather than postponing and rearranging for a Tuesday night - only once it doesn’t impact domestic football will the club vs country debate (from a supporter perspective) fizzle out.
I think there are only really two solutions for Leagues One and Two:
Play EFL Trophy games during international weekends
Scrap the EFL Trophy and have more midweek league fixtures (would not be my personal choice)
I know some people will say clubs should just play the games anyway, but I don't think any club should be penalised for happening to have good players. Some do take the piss a bit and maybe the rules need tightening, but I think the amount of call-ups is mainly a reflection of the standard of football at this level now.
Montenegro 3-1 Turkey is a hell of a result, to allow Wales to finish top and gain promotion to the top league. Montenegro had lost all five games before tonight.
Wales played with great spirit and no little skill in their 4-1 win over Iceland. Bellemy has got them motivated.
Wayne Rooney's Plymouth rescue a point in the 96th minute against Watford. Not sure they can keep up the pace of late home heroics:
v Sunderland: Winner in 93rd minute
v Blackburn: Winner in 97th minute
v Preston: Equalizer in 92nd minute
v Watford: Equalizer in 96th minute
With no injury time goals against they are +6 points after the 90th minute. So currently 17th but would be 23rd, one point above bottom QPR, without those late goals.

That ref needs to brush up on the rules.

Painful business, being hit by a football in the buildup.
3 goals in League One in total today!
Results couldn't have gone much better for us. Is it correct to celebrate a promotion rival losing as much as we would celebrate a win for us?

Can we at least have a 'We are going up!' from the England fans?

Club >>>
As a supporter, club everyday. As a player, country, unless I was a Wycombe player
Stewart has played a few games there, wasn't his debut, not even a home debut.
Why, as a supporter, does there need to be a conflict?
I love both

Having said that, L2 doesn't seem to get nearly as many games called off, so scrapping the Trophy probably isn't an option.
Welcome back by the way. I’ve missed your style of posts like this.
Thanks for putting me right - I was misinformed by the locals.
I see Ian Holloway is just as bonkers as ever https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cy871np8m0do
I keep a loose eye on their results as have family that way.
Wonder what Stewart is making of the move, as unfortunately they looked doomed this season.
Good on him, it's deflection but it's better than just blaming referees or slagging off players who are already low in confidence.
Must admit, still being top after a weekend we did not play feels quite nice.
That is hilarious - I thought I had heard every excuse in the book!
Still not as good as Derek Adams' 'our kit is too green' https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/derek-adams-admits-changed-plymouths-9983356
San Marino got their first-ever away win last night (3-1 vs Liechtenstein) to secure promotion in the Nations League 💪
Wales v Iceland on S4C on BBC iPlayer now, in Welsh. Also on Sky channel 134.

Brilliant set of results for Wales 👍👍👍
Not so shabby for Northern Ireland too. ⚽️
