We are still in two cups and are pushing at the top of the table, given the inevitable fixture congestion and injuries, not to mention the famous supportive nature amongst the squad encouraged by the club, I don't think anyone is going anywhere.
As it seems his little place in the country, well Cookham actually , looks to have been sold for c£25M he can probably pick up something a bit cheaper nearer Coventry.
Can you imagine being told around 2014 that ten years from now Lampard and Bloomfield would be associated with the same Championship management job, and that Lampard would look like the bad move?
Most West Ham fans couldn't imagine Lampard would ever be a good player. Great video of 'Arry shouting down people having a pop at a fans forum back in the day.
Morning all, as Lampard rumours die down and Bloomfield talk ramps up. Just wanted to clear a few things up on behalf of our fans.
What style of football should we expect from Bloomfield? Is he rigid in his formation choice or willing to change game by game?
Does he have his own staff and would he expect to bring them with him? We have a lot of drama surrounding coaching staff at the moment so unsure if he would be able to.
Does he have any say in recruitment here? Should he come to us, his role in incoming transfers would be limited.
And finally, do you all think he’s up to Championship standard?
Good luck for the season whichever way this plays out! We might need it more than you.
Get a grip, we were in the same division not long ago, you are one division higher but only one point off relegation, we seem to be unbeaten in a while and top of the division below. Blooms would be great for any club that gave him time but he already has a club which he's spent almost all of his adult life with and a project that is working well with larger resources than he's ever known.
Hopefully if Cov do offer he'll have a word with his mentor who left for a basket case at the bottom of the championship where he wasn't backed or supported and lasted months before a long spell out of work.
if it’s Ainsworth and QPR you’re referring to I think Matt Bloomfield is bright enough to be all too aware of that particular potential pitfall.
i trust our new owner to have as much commitment to the immediate future of the club and its fans as he does to the longer term project. If he does, he will ensure that Matt’s value will be rewarded appropriately.
Why would you come onto a forum of another team and just be this antagonistic? We've had plenty of other fans here before and when they are polite and courteous they get the same respect back to them. Just really baffling behaviour to come in and act like this
@Boosh - I think history will show Coventry City made mis-step when they sacked a perfectly good manager.
I am sure you will know about Birmingham City's recent adventures - they were 6th in your current league at the time they sacked John Eustace. He now manages Blackburn.
Ask yourself the questions - "Are Coventry City as big a club in your eyes as Birmingham City? Could you find the amount of money Birmingham City have spent this year? How far would you need sink again before you could entice Mark Robbins to return?
Comments
We've heard these rumours tumeric times
Would look much better showing transfer fees paid.
Wycombe Wanderers - £213,000, one football kit, a pack of sausage rolls and some Louisiana merchandise.
Birmingham City - £32,000,000 and a Costco Humble Pie.
According to Sky, Lampard has applied for the Coventry job.
'Frank Lampard's Coventry versus Wayne Rooney's Plymouth, for the bragging rights of being second from bottom - don't miss it here on Sky!'

Looks like Lampard, I think we are ok
We're ok. They're fucked.

Football eh?
Could you imagine it 9 months ago?

Matt Bloomfield has already rejected any interest in the Coventry job.
With respect, should we want him, we will get him.
With respect I don’t think you will.
I don’t think we will either, there would be serious backlash from our fans
All the hallmarks there of a Johnny-come-lately wind-up merchant. Ignore.

We were in the same division as you at our lowest ebb for 50 years. And still hammered you twice a season
“Cov”. Completely cringeworthy.

We are ‘city’. ‘cov’ would be referring to Coventry Rugby
based on?
“wE’rE a MaSsIvE cLuB”. 🙄
Congratulations
I preferred Ainsworth Silly Shoes.
In our time in the Championship we drew 0-0 with you at your place.
And I’m sure you have a poster of it above your bed.
Also, was in Birmingham not Coventry.
We were in the same division as Manchester City shortly after I retired. We did the double over them. So what. Times change.
Good luck with whoever you do eventually land but please keep away from this forum. We already have an adequate supply of wind-up merchants.

I asked polite questions which weren’t answered. Just received defensive replies. Not sure why
