If you fancy a second game after WW v Peterborough United on Saturday (& you're quick getting away) there's always Penn & Tylers Green v Bedfont Sports in the FA Vase or Holmer Green v Hillingdon Borough in the Combined Counties League. Both Marlow & Flackwell Heath are playing away (Marlow have to go all the way to Merthyr Tydfil).
Penn's first time in the First Round of the Vase, good luck to them. Only a fiver admission (£3 OAP, U18 free) so a cheap second game to go to (might be a pain to park mind).
Planning on Penn tomorrow after the Wycombe game, getting dropped off fingers crossed.
Then, if anyone fancies some Sunday football, Burnham v Eastbourne United in the FA Vase.
Tuesday, Holmer Green v Windsor in the Combined Counties D1.
Wednesday, ticket prices reduced to £5 for Wealdstone v Braintree in the National League. Hosts feature Max Kretzchmar and Craig Eastmond. You can pay on the day too.
Friday, I believe Windsor have a home game at Beaconsfield, got games Sat, Sun, Tue, Weds, so I'll decide later on that one.
In their first ever game in the FA Vase, Penn & Tylers Green lost 2-0 at home to Bedfont Sports.
Meanwhile Holmer Green & Hillingdon Borough fought out a 2-2 draw at Watchet Lane.
Flackwell Heath's Southern League match at AFC Dunstable fell foul of the weather, as did Aylesbury United's home game. In the Southern League Premier South Marlow lost out 2-1 to an injury-time goal at Merthyr Tydfil while Beaconsfield Town went down by the same scoreline at home to Northwood. Thame United defeated Ware 4-0.
Not a particularly good day for local sides following WW's brilliant win over the Posh at lunchtime.
I went to Penn & Tylers Green yesterday, and arrived twenty minutes in following the Wycombe game. You could tell Befont were a league above but Penn were right in it until the last minute goal.
Then, today, a hard-fought 0-0 between Burnham and Eastbourne Borough was decided on penalties. It was not a terrible game, but both teams spent too much energy complaining about refereeing decisions for my liking. Burnham won the penalty shootout 5-3.
Don't leave a Chesham match early. It was another late show yesterday, at Enfield Town, when trailing 2-1, they won 3-2 with goals on 81' and 89'. The Generals have scored 31 goals this season in all matches, with 14 of those goals coming after the 80th minute.
There‘s also FA Cup action in the Women’s game this weekend with Penn & Tylers Green Women making their maiden appearance in the First Round. They’ve drawn a decent home tie against QPR Women, to be played on Sunday 3 November at French School Meadow (KO 1pm, fiver for adults, £3 concessions, U16 free).
A second consecutive hat-trick for Jake Tabor yesterday, a third in five games, as Amersham Town beat Wembley 4-1 at home. In all games, Tabor now has 25 goals in 22, 19 in 14 league games.
In the CCL Premier North, the Magpies are two points off the top, with three games in hand. At the other end, Risborough Rangers let slip a 3-2 lead at struggling Berks County, to lose 4-3 to a last minute goal. Rangers are fourth from bottom, four points above relegation.
Sounds like a brilliant player from all the posts on here. An added bonus for all bar one team in that division is they get to sing 'we're going to Wembley!' once a year!
No disrespect intended but it’s not often you see a crowd like that down at Penn (the men’s team are also going well this season). Women’s football is certainly growing in stature locally. Holmer Green have now started up their own senior Ladies team too and I think they’re now playing their first league season (could be wrong).
Another Tabor hat-trick today, third in four games, as Amersham Town won 5-0 at Wokingham Town in the league. A good response to a surprise 4-1 defeat at Milton United last weekend, when Tabor scored.
285 at Wilks Park today for Flackwell’s 2-2 draw against Ware. The Heathens have dropped off slightly in recent weeks since their excellent introduction to Step 4. But they have a few games in hand and a decent marksman in Wiktor Makowski.
Beaconsfield have struggled since their demotion and took a 3-0 beating by Barton Rovers in the same division.
Tabor…enough said. Would be incredible if Amersham secured a successive promotion. Only two points off top with a game in hand in the CCL Prem North.
The two ‘Greens’ (Penn and Holmer) both won today. Penn are six points above their neighbours in the final play-off spot in the CCL Div 1. But as recoveries go, Holmer Green should be commended. They’re enjoying a fantastic campaign so far, compared to last season’s wretched showing.
The Essex Senior League (Athletic Newham) is the same level as the Combined Counties Premier League North (Amersham Town) - Step 5. Given his stats you’d think Tabor could easily adjust to life a couple of leagues above, if not higher. (Step 3 is Southern Prem).
Previously with Risborough Rangers and Thame United, 22 year old Wiktor Makowski scored 15 in 11 when he joined Flackwell last season. So far this season he has scored 15 in 16, in all games. Not as prolific as Tabor but one level higher and worth a look.
Another local player banging in the goals is 32 year old Pawel Kowallkowski. 14 in 15 for Windsor & Eton, the CCL Division 1 leaders, plus another 4 in 4 for PFC Victoria in the same division.

Thanks for mentioning this, had missed it being another early one

QPR won 3-0 but it looks like they had a good attendance.
225 I think

What level are Amersham at compared to Athlectic Newham ? I mean, the amount of goals Tabor scores is very impressive
The Essex Senior League (Athletic Newham) is the same level as the Combined Counties Premier League North (Amersham Town) - Step 5. Given his stats you’d think Tabor could easily adjust to life a couple of leagues above, if not higher. (Step 3 is Southern Prem).
Same this season, Combined Counties Premier and Essex Senior League are step 5/tier 9.

Windsor & Eton will walk their league this season. Some comeback since their reformation.
Jake Tabor has tweeted this evening about his trial at Wycombe Wanderers.
Probably a reason why he hasn't received any other offers!
