Dhuran scores a pearler against Bayern. It just goes to show, Munich are easier to score against than we are, as it did not require a dive in this case.
Good information, thanks! I took a look on their forum, and not many are blaming him, more the lack of serious recruitment compared to Oxford and Derby.
A superb performance by The New Saints to only lose 2-0 to Fiorentina, Europa Conference finalists for the past two seasons. TNS defended superbly and posed the occasional goal threat. They were very fit, athletic and pacy. Larne were disappointing in comparison, against an average Molde side.
Abingdon United break their attendance record in a game that was used to raise money for the family of recently deceased Jack Badger. Great effort from the local community and fans of other clubs who showed up to offer their support too.
Fun to see QPR in the relegation zone. Though GA did not do well there, it is hilarious to see their fans falling over themselves to justify a very similar start from their golden child. I do think they will be okay, but it's hard to like them with how meanspirited they were to GA.
Pet peeve: It is reported that Man United are "officially" off to their "worst ever start". However, there is no such official stat as a "start", and it seems to be however many games are needed to make it sound like an impressive statistic. If a "start" was a specific, agreed number of games, it would make more sense.
One of the things I love about Gibraltar's youth teams is it's such a bizarre mix of players. You have players from the Spanish equivalent of PL2 (the Cadiz players + Carrington, who plays for a team in the Division Honor that doesn't play senior football), local players, players from pro English academies and those really low down the pyramid (Williams-Owen plays senior football at Tier 12 and Holden is on a work experience loan from Dover's academy at Ramsgate Athletic in the Kent County League). Plus one private school kid. But sometimes they might stand out and get a bigger move elsewhere - worked for Bartolo. Tayler Carrington apparently attracted interest from EFL clubs in the summer before deciding to spend one more year in the Spanish academy top flight.
The players in bold have played for the Gib U21s already. Williams-Owen and Martinez the only two currently playing senior football but some of those now playing in England and Spain did get some GFL appearances last season. Funnily enough Bartolo is still eligible for the U19s but as he's now cemented his senior team position he's obviously not involved. He'll be looking to get some goals against San Marino on Thursday.
Did anyone see Man City women vs Barca in the champions lge last night? City were the definition of a high press. Absolutely dominated the european champions and could/should have been 3 or 4 up at half time. Fantastic tactics from Gareth Taylor who has been under a lot of stick fairly recently. Exciting football I would pay to watch every week.

On topic, Potts gets a start tonight for Portsmouth, away to Stoke. Maybe his first in the league, not sure?
Yes just saw that. Hope the lad has a great game.
Pompey 2-0 now though after 24 mins.
Pompey 2-0 down after 24 mins
Actually 1-1 - BBC sport useless.
So just to be sure, are Portsmouth 2-0 up, 2-0 down, or drawing 1-1? 🤤
3-1 down 😂
Makes sense.
It's 6-1 Stoke now, still forty minutes left.
Ouch! Poor Freddie.
Sadly for John Mousinho, I am not sure how much time he'll be given after this.
I'll never forget the absolute state of their Stone Island brigade offering out parents and grandparents in the family stand last season
Hope they lose every week

He should have been banned 😂
hasn't he just been given a 3-year contract extension? Surely suggests they are sticking with him regardless.
Careful, you'll have @LDF after you for, *checks notes*, discrimination against people who wear Stone Island.
Rob Elliot is now in charge at Crawley after leaving Gateshead.

Not a good look for Bolton or Ian Evatt.

Not sure what's more shocking. The thickness to do that 1cm under the Ref's nose, or being surprised at the red.
Shocking behavior from a manager. Good to see Aaron Pierre lurking just in case things got interesting.
Things are obviously not great at Bolton, can’t work out if that means we’re more likely to hang on to Morley after January or not.
I like Bolton as a club, but their manager's behaviour is consistently embarrassing.

Had an indifferent start to the season but still 8th on PPG and only one win behind us.
Lets hope Evatt is still around in Jan, more chance of keeping hold of Morley with him at the helm

Thrilled to see Brandan Hanlan play the last twenty minutes of todays friendly with QPR. We won 1-0 with a goal from Fred.
