There's all sorts of reciprocal study visas for yoofs, each with different random conditions, had one myself a long while ago. Think the Government have added a few more recently as a result of efforts to secure trade deals after being very anti that sort of thing for a while. Wether he'd be able to get a long term contract if we felt he was worthy of one I don't know. Much easier if it's short periods.
Kone I'd be interested to hear more about as he's allowed to be here and play non league, and presumably work in another field. May just be home office beauracracy and incompetence delaying decisions.
Excellent interview with the highly impressive Sam Grace on the official website, talks about the philosophy, individual players etc. Hopefully allays any fears/misgivings about the development squad and its immediate future.
According to the job advert for the Kit & Equipment Assistant role, we will be having to furnish "all Academy teams including U18 and U21" with kit so looks like the expectation is for this to grow pretty quickly:
All this is too far in the future to be more than of academic interest to me but that article is an interesting insight into the pros and cons of academies versus B teams or a combination of the two.
My feeling is that the ramifications of an academy are debatable and it seems to me to be a moot point whether the success of the B team policy over the last few years would be likely to give better value for money.
But academies are the plan so let’s hope that, whatever the eventual outcome, Wycombe Wanderers will continue to go from strength to strength.
@bluntphil not sure if you can make this happen but the bits and pieces we have heard about the potential plans for the B team and academy sound very exciting and it would be great if we could see you interview the management team to provide some detail.
The reports that WWFC are building such a structure are really great and some detail regarding plans and timelines would be wonderful.
Wycombe are pleased to announce the signing of teenage forward Jahiem Dotse following a successful trial with the development squad.
The 17-year-old is the youngest player to join the club since the closure of its former academy in 2012, and arrives with experience in men’s football at Romsey Town and Blackfield & Langley, where he finished as top goalscorer last season.
Jahiem has also progressed through Eastleigh’s full-time scholarship programme, impressing throughout their league-winning season and joining a growing list of players to graduate from the programme into EFL or Premier League clubs.

I believe this is correct.

With squad lists being posted now I wonder if we will see new additions to the development lads.
We’ve been so blessed with Anis and Chris Forino over the past few seasons it’s only fair to temper our expectations I guess.
The interview with Sam Grace is also available on the latest Ringing The Blues.

Interesting article about the B team approach https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/huddersfield-town-brentford-helping-wycombe-wanderers-future/
Blimey.
Interesting article admittedly made up of snippets already out there in the wild. Would be nice to have a fan meeting where the vision is put to us.

Great to see how we've progressed.
At some points under Gareth he had to put in for goal nets. Now we're recruiting an assistant for the kit man!

Or just any interview at all really !?!? Or is everyone at the club now camera shy ?
Is it assistant kitman, or assistant to the kitman?
We might see Lommy next month if the movie stars are at Wrexham. Failing that we'll probably have to get to Wembley to see him.
Having said that, he's really into the youth stuff so maybe some youth cup final might bring him here.
I assume you didn’t catch the interviews with Dan Rice, every new player we’ve signed so far, our new captain, Luke Leahy etc?
Do you subscribe to WanderersTV @HolmerBlue? There has been a trickle of content for some time all summer.
They are even trialling some stuff tomorrow around the friendly at Harlington against Colchester, although they aren't live streaming the game itself.

His move remains subject to FA and EFL approval.
