That's why we all love football. We all saw it when Blooms first started - a stubborn approach to play a certain brand of football. It wasn't working so we switched it up.
Top sides have the ability to adapt when they need to.
Ha, I wish. Lots of them were only refurbished for that and are much older actually .
Great place to watch football. Have seen half a dozen games across Germany including 06 and this year's tournament, a lot of it is just the fact fans are still the priority and they haven't been "blessed" with the influx of money we have that has lead to fans being way down the pecking order after broadcasters and speculators.
The average Germans ability to consume lots of alcohol without turning into a massive tit, or just a lack of class based hatred of football fans, does also mean a lot of the rules are more sensible.
I get the impression that German society doesn’t suffer its own ne’er-do-wells in the slightest which results in most potential louts amending their oxygen starved ways before it becomes habitual thereby rendering the beered up Kraut a reasonable if unamusing chap.
I've only ever been to Germany once, for a weeks holiday years ago, was a fantastic week, locals were extremely friendly. Always said I'd go back, but I never have, one day !
I generally think that Chris Sutton is a total tosser but have to agree with his comment that if France were playing in his back garden he would close the curtains as they are so poor.

That is one absolutely massive cock on the front of the France shirt isn’t it.
For some reason I keep wanting cornflakes.
Not massive cock?
I know most of these games are taking place in new-builds, but somehow they all feel like proper old stadia.
Maybe because everything in Qatar was so anemic.

A mention for WWFC!

We went to Frankfurt and Cologne and both were great stadiums. Steep sides and right up close to the pitch.
Shev's wife also wants..........cornflakes.
Don't think most of them are that new, lots left over from the 06 World cup or earlier. All real good club grounds though and that makes a difference
2006 is new. Basically yesterday.

There are some places in Germany I'd love to visit. I've only been once, to Berlin, a fantastic city.

Anyone going to brave this afternoon’s big match.
Slightly disturbing talk of the dreaded three at the back but I’ve not seen the lineup.
I missed the start, how come England are in the opposition half?
‘The hopes and fears of all the years hang like a shadow over the England team.’
Iain Darke getting very poetic early on.
I couldn't watch this every week!

It's better but we've got nothing up front. Same old.
Wierd to say but for England the three at the back has made a huge difference to the midfield & attacking intent
They’re not playing. It’s Switzerland. And they’re not that bad.
All we need now is for Harry Kane to move and jump.
An England France final could happen and it could be one of the worst
We look much better today, three at the back is working well. But the Swiss are the best team we’ve played by a mile.
Someone needs to phone Alan Shearer and explain to him that Kane is “occupying defenders” when he’s strolling around in defensive midfield.
We are helping them look good
WTF is Kane doing in his own box? There is no outlet when the defence win the ball as he is around 5m ahead of them.
Someone dig out Phil's interview with the "subs coach" guy from when 5 subs were introduced. Send it to Southgate.
Genuine question about Kane, why is he such a consistent goal scorer every where else? Are we just not playing to his strengths?
